It can get hot on the uncovered areas, bring water and plenty of sunscreen.

Had a great hike with my boys. 10 and 13.
Harkins trail down and back due to a trail closure. Views were amazing. Exactly 7 miles.

This is an amazing park. There are a lot of trails with different views no matter which way you go. Some of the trails are steep so be prepared. My sure that you bring water as there are not any water points along the trails. And a friendly reminder, dogs are not authorized in the preserve.
