Park Pyramid Beach reviews
11Took a one-way road trip to Portland from San Diego. This was our final stop after a day of driving. Santa Cruz is a home away from home for me. Absolutely cool and and burnout!
Very nice beach. The locals are rather unfriendly but I don't blame them: too many bad people from San Jose destroying this place. Beautiful homes and great scenery. I used to live in Santa Cruz so I understand why the locals don't like tourists. That's ok though. If you follow the rules while on the beach you shouldn't have a problem. Unfortunately many people from the Bay area don't know how to read.
When we visited in early July there was plenty of parking available both at the Beach and on side streets, so access was great. Pyramid Beach is by a headland that juts into the Pacific; access to the beach can be tricky, the sea cliffs are steep, and the waves come crashing against the shoreline, so make sure that you don't get trapped by an incoming tide. Viewed from above it is both scenic and lively, a great place to take a book and perch on a bench, or bring a camera and look for telling angles from the rocks along the tops of the cliffs.
Simply amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Majestic scenery unrivaled in all but a few locations. California's coastline is magificient and this location is a prime example. Highly recommend
Well, I pulled over to take some pictures of the ocean to send to my daughter who moved and I quickly realized that this beautiful little cove is a nudist beach! Being born in Santa Cruz, this wasn't a big surprise to me, except that the Red, White and Blue beach used to be up the coast further. Away from the public's eyes. This is literally visible for anyone using the sidewalk. Not such a great spot when your children are walking by staring at the naked people on the beach. But if you're one of the naked people on the beach and enjoy being watched, more power to you!
Been cold lately pretty much nobody hanging out since women was murdered here we drive from san jose to check out the beautiful scenery
Pyramid beach is a beautiful place at midnight and
Very peaceful and relaxing to clear your thoughts.
Just walking and watching the sea, beaches, the coastline in both directions, houses and so on is worth it. Very close (five minutes) to natural bridges and not too far (half an hour) from the Santa Cruz Wharf on foot. The path is also well maintained
Great beach but beware, some parts of the year the sand bar is very low and the beach is mostly inaccessible.
Great place to relax and view the ocean. My wife and lived in Santa Cruz for a few years, and this was one of our favorite spots along with the doggie beach. Highly recommended for a day at the beach.
Gorgeous views. The walk is well maintained and I love that they are marked to remind people to stay to the right! (It is a pet peeve if mine when people spread out along a walking path). Parking is free, but not easy to find (the reason for not giving 5 stars.
