Quest Diagnostics reviews
14Scheduled an appointment at 9: 20am. Got there on time and checked in on my phone while I was in the car, I then got a message to go inside. My name was called less than 5 min after. The staff was very polite and kind. I was out in less than 10 min, I love places with this automated kind of system.
This is an awful and insensitive location. This location closes at 4pm, We arrived at 3: 45pm. When we walked in no one would check us in. We kept being ignored. I was patient and then they finally spoke to me to tell me they were closing. I brought my mom who is dying of cancer and just had a major brain surgery to take urinalysis. I understand if we came 5 mins before closing and need more than a urinalysis done, they would turn us away. We were there 15 mins before closing and ignored. The employees here have zero compassion. I’m so angry and so sad that my mom would be treated so badly. This means they treat other patients like this. It’s horrible to think about.
This was the absolutely most unorganized place of health care. I waited 1.5hr as a walk-in. Only to be told we won’t be able to see any (walk-ins) today. Why accept walk-ins if you don’t accept walk ins?
My blood was drawn fairly close to my appointment time. Julie was very helpful and professional.

*No Customer Service Here*
Fully Automated.
I arrived early and had to call through the cracks in the opaque block on the service counter for help. Response “ I’m with a patient “. My response, “thanks I’ll wait to ask”. No one came. I asked 15 Minutes later response sounded annoyed. Didn’t get help until someone came for a patient. At this time
other patients followed my lead with their own questions. The real life employee was polite.
Bathrooms in hallway are locked with no code posted in the automated waiting room.
I felt ignored and not valued. Great set up for a company to make fast profits on diagnostic services by foregoing customer service. I’m all for profit but not at the expense of personal service, kindness and caring.
I believe the employees are following management directives and are not able or encouraged to provide customer service.
Please tell me if you have a better place for lab services!
My review is about the Phlebotomy Technician. The day I went it was ms Tatyanna. I did not feel the needle go in or out! My veins are so small, and usually I suffer. I asked her to do small talk with me, and she did, and when she was done I had to confirm that she drew blood)
Grazie Tatyanna. Amazing job.
This office is busy. Also understaffed. (Or at least the day I went one of the techs had called out). But all that aside, I had a good experience! My appointment for my 2 year old was at 10am and we were seen at 10: 20. Not too bad of a wait. The ladies that drew my son's blood were kind and professional. Specifically Renee. I watched her maintain her professionalism under pretty tough conditions! To have to be front desk as well as back office staff is a hard job and I'm sorry they've been put in this position. Renee handled it really well in spite of people taking their frustration out on her for a system she's not in control of. My boy didn't even cry when they took his blood and had no bruise afterwards (much better than past experiences with blood draws). Renee should get a raise!

So disappointed as this was my second attempt to get my blood drawn after a bad experience at another quest location. I walked in 5 min before my appointment time just to be greeted by another customer informing me that the wifi was down and no one could check in. There was still a girl with an appointment time an hour ahead of me that had not been seen and the waiting room was packed. Like their other location in Encinitas, there was no staff available to speak to. Totally unacceptable and won’t be back to any quest. Just go to labcorp
The worst thing about this place is that there isn't anyone in the front to help you at all! They will ignore you in the back. You have to check in at a little kiosk. I saw someone else check in, they received a number and their name showed up on the "checked in" screen. So are the rest of us not checked in? There were about 10 other people waiting in the room. Maybe I'll get an answer some day.
Every time I go to this location they are short handed which makes you wait hours past your scheduled appointment
After today I will not be returning and will look for another company to do my blood draws. Today every person in the waiting room were fit to be tied not a good business model where you don’t value your customers. Why can’t they staff this location with enough people?
It’s the worst place ever and worst quest lab ever I went to in my whole life, first, all rest room are dirtiest and only one have water but so dirty and the floor is sticky and they have out of hat female collector in addition to the lab staff collector was busy with the phone while I am waiting and asking for help in bathroom because no water and dirty in there, I bring the sample back to the room and the lab collector was not available in the room she might left the sample and go home.
I showed up as a walk in a few minutes after they opened. There was no receptionist so I checked myself in on a kiosk, just for there to be no receptionist for the duration of my time there. I was there for 2 hours, and finally decided it wasn’t worth it. By the time I left, there was easily 20 people in the waiting room. I understand that appointments take priority over walk ins, but I wasn’t going to waste my whole morning sitting there not knowing if I was going to be seen or not. I would suggest they should have someone taking care of walk ins, and others taking care of those who have appointments. If you choose to go, I highly recommend making an appointment or going somewhere else.
Im sorry but I have to say it, I think the owner is not paying attention to the little detail that no matter how many appoitments he have for the day if he decide to acept walk ins he needs to pays the same attention to both of them cause he treat the walk ins like trash and sorry to say but we are business, we are paying to, we are not asking for anything free to be treated like the way some people tell their histories here.
If not check the weeb there are another places to go, Encinitas, San Marcos, give your bussines to who deserves them. Money is money, and we dont deserve to be treated like second hand clotles. We are people!
