This is a place to TRY and get resources. Most of the few staff that remain are burnt out. The owner organization does not pay it's employees enough. They open late daily. Turn most people away that arrive or call.

They try to care for the clients that show up there, but often they're just fed up and angry.

The average job posting receives 200 applications. So, why is this place ALWAYS short staffed?
They say they're federally funded. Then where does all the $$$ from donations go if not here, to at least pay staff a decent wage.

If u donate to a charity, please insist the charity spends your $$$ in effective ways and not just lining the board members pockets.

I signed up for mail services being from across the country. I requested personal information and 2 checks from my state of origin. I have not received anything at all- I used an address from a friend and I received my mail the same week.these are certified birth certificates and checks from the state i moved from. I trusted that I would receive help as a single mother. I have found full time employment and still seek to plant my feet in San Diego. Unfortunately I would not recommend utilizing the mail services here: (they are not very friendly during the half hour mid day mail pick up as well. Would and could have been a great help, instead it was inconvenient and the women working there aren't event pleasant.

I love donating to this organization. I try to donate every 2-3 years. I’ll be donating some of my best clothes ever! Over $5,000 worth of designer clothes and most were never worn. I hope you all enjoy the beautiful items. Merry Christmas and happy holidays ️ Leanne Thomas

The night shelter is ok because they allow dogs there but services to get on housing and medical and therapy are along wait to get these services i feel a therapists should be on site for people who have mental illness. Especially when they mention on there site that they would help with theses services. But I am thankful to catholic charieties for this shelter for women that are homeless with no where to go.

A staff name Georgia is a rude, racist & classist old lady. I don’t even know why she works there as if a women shelter isn’t punishing enough to live in! The government should do more about making more affordable housing! Shame on the game!

If you need support, love and attention to help get you through the day, the people at Rachel's are super loving and caring.

Know, tho, they are extremely short staffed with a lot breaking or broken, so patience is needed. But if ur in need, this is a great place to try.

Catholic Charities, PLEASE HIRE more people at a decent living wage. I don't want the lovely people that work here to all walk out and quit because you're making life needlessly stressful for them. Also, a couple of dollars above minimum wage is not enough when dealing with 30 half-crazy ladies going through the roughest time of their life.

A social media manager doesn't deserve 75k salary, while a social worker gets 17.5 hourly. IMO, of course.

If u insist on keeping the pay so low, then lower the bar for employment. Hire some of the people you're trying to help and don't make them wait a full year before they can apply. There are many talented people that use your services.

You'll never find a center that has as much love and empathy for the disenfranchised than this one. Shower, laundry, lunch, basic necessities and help finding resources can all be gotten here.
The only downside to this place is that the workers that keep the doors open don't get paid enough. McDonald's pays more. So they're ALWAYS short staffed. Please, if you donate to charities, please ask to make ur donation go towards the employee's pay. As they're often digging in their own pockets to help out their guests. They deserve $25 p/hr, minimum.
Also, they can't help with bus fair. Idk where to get help with that.

Was a very helpfulness l experience. Really not anymore. Gone corrupt over bearing invasive rude dirty girls. Not nice people now. Kelly the boss over powering the unboss people. Not respectful anymore

The place has very weird staff and they pretend to care about your health and they do not. They cater to the insane and yell at other people. It's a mess and they're all so intimidating instead of helpful. People shout and talk in their sleep and I got kicked out for crying. The ONLY good staff there is Susan she is awesome. That's kinda it.

This place went above and beyond for me. Although I didn't realize it at the time as my mental health was extremely poor, they took good care of me even when my attitude was at it's worst. They supported and guided me to the right resources and were very kind.

Came to them for any kind of help. They turned me away. Said they had an outbreak but there are people coming and going -without masks. They aren't that concerned.

Thank you for helping a great friend of mine that happened to stumble across your path. Keep up the excellent work. She's home safe and tears up when she mentions how good your organization was to her

The ladies are really great! There's a serious issue in our support to end domestic violence though! If it ever happens to you all I can say is you may want to reconsider your decision. They promise help. These ladies try and thats more than I can say about anyone else!

My friend gets her mail delivered there. They make meals for any woman in need. There is a lounge type sitting area, helpful staff, toiletries and women's personal items, etc

At first I thought it was a safe place to go to, eat or what not. After awhile I was nervous eating their. One thing I noticed, don't donate clothes their. The ladies don't get any, the father joes village comes picks up the donations. So basically you are donating your clothes to father joes.
