Diner Rae's Restaurant reviews
14Great classic diner! Feels like a local spot, a lot of regulars and servers know customers names. Have to remember to bring cash but prices are super reasonable, great weekend breakfast/brunch spot!
Excellent simple brunch spot. Outside seating option. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Side street parking with pay but worth it. Highly recommend. You will need cash. I will visit again once we are in town again.
2+2+2 I've been coming to Rae's since I was a kid (30+ yrs) The place hasn't changed, which as a local is pretty amazing. Food is tasty, has a real homey atmosphere.
We were there and waiting for so long for someone to take our order. Everyone sitting down after us got their order and we are the only one left. We had been waving our hands for them to notice us that are ready to order and inform one of the staff. No one attended and just ignore us so we ended of leaving and finding another restaurant that will cater us. Not only that, they did not clean our chair which had left over food. Horrible experience with the service. If we can give negative star, we will.
This is my favorite breakfast spot in SoCal. Phenomenal tasting American fare that can't be beat. It has a traditional 1950s ambiance to the diner. I wholeheartedly recommend going here to have a tasty breakfast experience.
Great old school diner. Excellent outdoor space. Staff was great! Had delicious waffles. Only thing that had me puzzled was what appeared to be old trash underneath a table. It seemed to be there a while.
Reunited with my sister and went hete to where our oldest sister started working in the late 60's
Food was really good and Maria was an amazing server, just really sweet. Visiting on vacation and this was one of the best breakfast places.
Great comfort food! Breakfast is delicious here. Wonderful service! This establishment is CASH ONLY!
PERFECTLY CRISP JUICY CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. FLAVORFUL COUNTRY GRAVY!
For place that serves simple diner fare using basic ingredients and possibly even powdered gravy mix packets.the food is phenomenally delicious!
It doesn't leave you with that tired partially sick feeling you get after eating greasy food from other diners.
Clean, fast, friendly service. Low prices that remind you of your childhood back when $10 seemed like $20 now. Good portions that arent greasy. A true gem amongst any place in the area where the average cost of any meal with all the sides and fixin's would easily be double the price and probably lack that authentic home-cooked taste this place has.
Ordered an omelette, the place was busy. Food looked and tasted like it had been in the garbage and taken out and put on a plate. Awful
Used to eat here back in UCLA days. Always awesome vibe. Super cheap diner food for us college kids and people who work there always knew our names.
CASH ONLY! I didnt know this till i already ordered.the sign is small amd by the door on the way out. There was no clear indication of who to ask to be seated. I had to look around and ask. Everyone was nice but very busy. If you need something just grab whoever you can.
We just had gravy and biscuits, home fries, pancakes, fries. My 12 yr old said its a 5 out of a 10.not bad but wouldn't go again.
This place is wonderful. Nothing fancy just very reasonably priced diner food with a Mexican flair. Same menu as Teddy's.
