Grocery Store Ralphs reviews
27This store has the best selections of foods, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and fresh meats. The entire place is very neat and tidy.
This post is to share my surprising poor experience with ast mid morning on Wendesday.
I used the self check out lane, needed assistance, the clerk passed me, pulls a woman out of line and begin to scan her groceries. Patiently waiting thinking the clerk was demonstrating the checkout process, she continues and then asked if I need help after getting her attention. But the clerk continues with the woman. I lefted the groceries asked for the manager which no one knew if Tim or Ed was scheduled and I left the store. I called from my car placed on hold and the call disconnected. Called again, to learn neither person was in, asked for whom ever was in charge and left on hold. I hung up, called the store later in the afternoon and no answer.
The next day, a call was placed to Ralph's corporate office. I was tranfered to the "over seas" customer service and no option to speak to a person in the US.
Another call was placed to corporate advised what took place and tranfered to an extension with a message to leave a message - no greeting - name, title or department.
I have yet to receive a call concerning this incident.
Stopped by here really quick on 5/21 to buy some baby food before heading to Universal Studios. I usually make my son's food but was in such a rush that day and instead purchased the Gerber. It was expired! Expired on 3/21. That's 2 months beyond expiration date. I was so angry because I fed it to my son and half way through it I noticed because he didn't want to eat it anymore. Unacceptable!
Duwayne one of the managers at this location always is friendly, always greets you with a smile, knowledgeable, willing to help and always goes above and beyond to make you feel valued and appreciated.
His line is always the longest because people enjoy his great genuine personality. His is such a highlight and asset to this location. I would highly recommend this location because of his excellent 5 star customer service.
I have been shopping at this store for the last 20 years and I loved it. The staff are wonderful and Bobby the director/Manager that is very friendly, had the store on top, always clean and all the produce were stocked properly. Unfortunately Bobby is on disability and will not be back for awhile. However; the Manager by the name of Danielle, " which I was told is in charge at this time " is unfriendly, meanest manager I ever had to deal with, she will even turn her back on you, and not listen to what you have to say". The store is not as clean, or up to date, a lot of things missing and the staff complains all the time. Things are not the same sense Bobby left. I will not recommend this store, especially if you have a question and need a responsible manager that is competent. I can't wait for the old Manager to come back, and have the store back to normal. If you want to have an easy experience where the manager treat you well, and a smooth shopping. Don't go to this location.
When I rate this Ralphs rationally, I choose four stars. When I rate it emotionally, I choose three stars. Why a rational 'four'? Because it has a parking structure, it seems really well ran (virtually no lines outside the door despite COVID-19) and it's a decent size. Also, as others in the reviews have noted, there are more vegan options than at other Ralphs, which I appreciate. So why the emotional 'three'? While they may sell more vegan products than average, those vegan products are never in stock. This Ralphs, it seems, doesn't understand the rules of supply and demand. If those products are always sold out, then maybe buy some more. Product availability isn't only a vegan issue, though, it's simply more noticeable. I've realized after a few months of shopping here that the stockers fill in product gaps with nearby products rather than leave gaps so they can see what they need to order. So you'll see regular Starbucks frappuccinos, for instance, when the almond milk frappucinos go. It makes the store looked well stocked, but it does a disservice to the shopper. Also, the baggers are generally terrible, but that seems to be the case across all Ralphs. (Cleaning supplies do not go with soda and bananas.)
I love this Ralphs, it has everything you need. Good choice of fresh food, meat, bakery section is wonderful. It is very clean and well organized, easy to navigate. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend!
All the panic buyers ruined everything and now this store shortened their hours It needs to be 24 hours again.
Furthermore, social distancing is a sham invented by a 14 year old as part of a science project for school and George W Bush attempted to adopt it in 2006, albeit unsuccessfully. It was only until the fear mongering mass media sent the whole world into a panic, that it was adopted without being scientifically or medically tested. It’s mere pseudo-science in the name of security theater.
It's not the store but the disappointment with the online ordering. I ordered Impossible meat online and my order was for that sole purpose but I was informed an hour before pickup that they had to substitute for something else and it is just a big disappointment that they can't keep their stock updated for online ordering.
The downside of this place is the parking, it is just hell. The grocery store itself is excellent and with many products for a vegetarian.
Excellent selection and juice bar. Cold brew from Portland. Conveniently close to Universal studios and Warner bros.
Great selection! Didn't like having to get code for the bathroom. I understand why, but still an inconvenience.
Great breadth and depth of inventory throughout the store. Several checkout options, all fast. Lots of parking, especially underground which is great in hot weather.
Was shopping at this store and needed to visit the restroom ASAP. They have coded locks. Asked the staff for the code - they sent me to the manger to the front desk for the code. I hardly can walk with very strong pain in my back so I went all the way from the back to the front and to the back to restrooms again. Thank you for torturing me.
One cashier with 30 people in lines is unacceptable. 5 employees wondering aimless joking and chatting while people wait 30 minutes to give Ralph’s money
My favorite Raplhs in all of LA. Has a large variety of selection in higher offering that they dont in all ralphs because of the community being above average household income. Basically they have a gourmet selection of a variety of salads soups and selft serve items. Has a better selection of vegetables which is a plus always.
Staff is always friendly and helpfully. The store displays are always eye appealing. The Managment is very involved and hands on.great job from everyone.
The deli is supposed to open at 7am but at 8am the display case not stocked is almost completely empty. For those who go before work to pick up something for lunch this is extremely inconvenient. The deli should be stocked and ready to go at 7am.
I went to this Ralph’s on Monday at 1: 30am Armenian lady has my Friend for ID to buy beer but he had Mexican ID, she said you need to have a América ID. We said no. She so stupid she ask the Maneger, if is ok, manager is fine. She still told my friend next time you need to have a Americana ID to purchase.
Employees are Always helpful and friendly. Love the parking and they have most all goods I need for a one shopping stop. The only faults I find is Some items run out so I need them to go to a different Ralph’s and their water row needs change.top shelf is to high and I need to find someone to help get down the water bottles. That’s it.only 2 annoying things. I think that’s pretty darn good.
