Ralphs, South Pasadena CA

I find this store to be a tad smaller but great selection. I think they can better organize their merchandise as to find things easier

Three cheers for John in the meat department.my family and I are visiting from Michigan for the Rose bowl. Stop by the store to grab some groceries. While looking for. We ran into John with a big smile and very friendly service. John went way above and beyond to help us get some meat and the buy one get one free chicken. John had a smile on his face and an extremely positive attitude. We thank you John and hope to see you next time we come by.

Great Kroger family of grocery stores with most, if not all, of what you're probably looking for. Friendly staff and clean restroom. All in all, a good stop for out of towners stocking up for a short stay in the area.

Nice supermarket with lots of parking. They REALLY need to hire more cashiers. I HATE the self check out and will switch to another supermarket if that is my only choice.

This is by far the most terrible store I have ever been to. The Manager and store associates are extremely rude, disrespectful and disorganized. I tried to check-out my groceries and the computer system wasn't working properly and wasn't accepting card payments in all the registers in the store. In addition to the fact that they were only accepting cash, they still didn't have enough cash. When I tried paying for my groceries
in cash, the store associate refused to give me my change in paper bills and wanted to give me a stack of coins, the associate was extremely rude and disrespectful. When I refused to take the coins the manager was next to me but he completely ignored the situation and didn't even intervene until I specifically requested to speak with the manager. This is the worst Ralph's store I have ever been to in my entire life and I advice everyone to stay away.

I love this Ralph's but the meat counter is really frustrating. There is no order to how customers are served; I've never seen numbers or tickets so you have to wait and hope someone sees you. The employees are great, but they're understaffed? Usually there's no one to help you because they're all in the back working (like I can see a guy with a rack of chickens). I usually just grab the precut stuff, but I don't want a whole pound and prices are too high to spend $15 on something we don't finish. Everything else about this store is awesome, just skip that whole right side if you're in a hurry or value your sanity.

Today, I went in and saw a lot of workers working very hard and might I add extremely friendly. Except for one, apparently her name is Roseline. She has curly hair and worked as a cashier today. SEP 27 AROUND 10-11 AM. Why is everyone working extra hard around this woman while she does the least minimum? What a bum. I would've called her out, but she seems like a woman of age who should know better. I'm younger, I would have embrassed her if I called her out. Hopefully, the rest of the crew points it out to the head. The work is for everyone.

When I visited a third world country in my college years and noted the food stands swarming with flies on the side of the road, never would I have imagined that these same conditions would afflict a grocery store in the US. I've been shopping at this Ralphs for the last 12 years but the most recent two years have seen a steep decline in the quality of the service, and in the freshness of the produce. I went shopping today and, like several times before today, the onions were swarming with insects. The packaged vegetables are brown and wilted, and did I mention the rotting smell coming from the potatoes? I was completely disgusted (yet again) so I wandered over to the deli to buy some fried chicken breasts and guess what? There was no one to help. I waited almost 10 minutes and nary a soul was to be seen. I wouldn't have bothered writing a review if this were a one-time occurrence, but this now happens with sufficient regularity to call for a response. Why don't I experience this problem at the local Pavilions in South Pasadena? They're always stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables. What exactly is the problem with this Ralphs? Are there delays in food shipments? Does the fear pandemic still have a stranglehold on the supply chain? Ralphs, please do better.

Always love coming here but they always lag on opening register. Their system tells them to open 2 registers and it says it's been 15 minutes. The Front End Manager doesn't seem to friendly. Almost every Ralphs. Lag after 9pm. Because they want eliminate more help and use self check out.

Found everything I needed. Fresh veggies and fruit for my bearded dragon. Great customer service and Andrew is the best bagging and customer service! Will be back soon!

Had a question regarding product availability. The very brusque person with whom I spoke answered and hung up before I finished speaking. Extremely rude!

I'm a fan of Ralphs. This particular location is where Jeffrey Lebowski used to buy ingredients for his beverage of choice - White Russian.

Probably the worst deli of all the Ralph's around. Nothing is ever available, and terrible customer service. Super rude people in the deli who seem like they hate their job.
