Ralphs Fresh Fare reviews
18A decent selection, but the self checkout helper, Eric, was rude and unhelpful when we needed his assistance with checking out a bottle of wine. Other Ralph’s locations have helped me with this with no problems.
Store is dirty and employees useless. The many times I've used the self-check, the attendant was surly. Avoid and drive to Vons or Gelsons
I had my clothes ripped off and was oiled up and beaten with a sack of potatoes by the produce guy. But then he pointed me in the direction of the dried beans I was looking for. Started off rough, but found everything I needed!
So, tried calling all morning to order a cake for my daughter, no one picks up the phone and for some reason you cant order cakes online. I finally let the phone ring for 40 minutes, just out of curiosity. Someone finally picked up and I explained I have been trying to reach the bakery for hours. He said he would connect me to the bakery department, the phone rang for another 30 minutes before I finally gave up. I could have baked my own cake in the amount of time wasted on Ralphs.
I always come to Ralph's due to their variety of products, their fresh produce and the parking is never a hassle in the bottom floor.
This was for the De la Vina store, that is no longer.
The Chapala Store is not great, but needed.
I don't expect the moon from low-wage workers but I've had a few bad experiences here. One time I asked a worker in deli where the packaged tuna was. He response was "we're closed" (meaning the deli). After I told him that that was clear from the empty trays, his response was "if you don't see it, man, it's probably not there". After a little more searching I found the tuna behind the potato salad which is a problem with pushing the products to the front so that they can be seen and don't expire before sale (A process called "blocking"). I told the manager David about the situation and of course he said he would talk to him. The next time I came to the deli section I saw several beef bowls that had "sell by 3 p.m. " on them.it was already well past 7 p.m. So I went to the manager David (again) who was sitting down (of course) and asked if he offered discounts on the beef bowls and he said "no unfortunately we don't" and I said well they're already passed their shelf life and he said which ones? (Mind you he could just walk a few feet and look) and I informed him that all of them were past the expiration date. After that his interactions with me were terse and rude.
So I'd say there is more of a manager problem than a subordinate problem. So my advice would be to keep expectations low. Good selection and good deals, though. But I'm pretty sure corporate is responsible for that
Convenient parking under the store. Large selection - just a little confusing to find some things (i.e. Ketchup - there was no “condiment” label overhead)
You’re paying Ralph’s prices but essentially getting a Food 4 Less experience. The aisles and checkout conveyor belts are sticky. Some aisles are not well-stocked. And to kick it all off, I had to wait a few minutes at the checkout (only one open) for an employee to actually appear to ring me up. On the bright side, though, parking is fairly easy, and the strawberries we purchased were decent.
Absolutely horrible service. Horrible. I only come here if I absolutely have to. Tonight was not a surprise.
This Ralph’s…. ROCKS. 5/5 stars. They’re consistently busy and that’s for a good reason. Well stocked, well staffed and a great selection. Find yourself lost amongst their vast isles of items? Not to worry, there’s a helpful Ralph around the corner ready to guide you to your SKU.
Crazy long checkout lines 80% of the time. Prices seem over inflated compared to other grocery stores in the area. The parking lot can be a nightmare. The exterior has really gone down hill. They need to do some serious power washing and maintenance.
If parking in the large underground lot, usually two of the four elevators are broken or just not running. They all usually smell gross. There stairs are quite a distance away.
Another big beautiful Market! However this is not your discount store. If you are on a budget Grab a? Basket not a cart! This place is clean the meat counter is Wonderful I have never had a negative experience there, the butchers there are so polite and accommodating! The Sea Food is always plentiful. The aged Ribeye and Tomahawk Steaks are absolutely delicious!
Clerks respectful and helpful premises clean food displayed in nice manner. Produce fresh and clean
Good it's always good with the exception of the security guard I'm not the only one I have heater from other customers he likes to hassle Latino people follow them very closely and make them feel very uncomfortable thank you we are there to steal
Haven't met a "nice or caring" manager at this store yet! They are rude and when you need something they act as if you are bothering them! I LOVE Ralph's but I literally shop in Oxnard when I go visit because this Ralph's management SUCKS! They need an attitude adjustment
Nice selection of fresh produce. VERY busy parking lot. Luckily the have underground parking which doesn't get as busy compared to parking in front of it. COVID has made shopping at Ralph's hard, since the staff start limiting customers in to the store and start making you go into the store from one exit and leave through the other exit.
They sold me sour chicken. Outside and karts are pretty unkempt. I'm gonna stick with Vons
