Great food, huge portions. I got the chicken ramen, and the chicken had great flavor. Noodles were pretty bland, but the broth and other things made up for it.
Crab rangoons were hearty and flavorful too.

Ramen 101 is our first take at Ramen in Concord. This place is a small hangout spot with good food, atmosphere and really nice staff. Pricing is slightly on the higher side for the place and ambiance we get to experience. Everything seems good but parking on a busy day would be a hard sell. However, there is a public parking lot near Todo Santos Plaza. Give it a try if you’re around.

The ramen has gone down in quality, the meat was overcooked in three different ramens in our order. Somehow all the broths tasted the same as well.chicken karaage was dry and overcooked with no flavor very tough to chew

They don't want to sell you the refillable soft drinks, they tell you that the machine doesn't work and then they use the soft drinks from there, all because they want you to buy the canned ones.

Great food but didn't care for the counter service experience. Expected a real restaurant experience.

Finally, a place that really nails a spicy ramen! Tonight I got their seafood ramen and let me say they are NOT stingy on the seafood, noodle, or portion of ramen here at 101. I was honestly surprised at how big the bowl was! I also chose spicy over the very spicy option. You can also choose mild or not spicy if you're looking for more of a savory or muted notes of spice in your ramen. Hoping to try their house ramen next time, and don't forget to add on your favorite sides in your ramen (with an added cost of course).

The food was good. Came out prompt. And the service was good. I can't complain. I wasn't wowed, but I may come back because this place is quiet and peaceful

Great food, quickly served, the atmosphere it'ssss ok i guess,
Our waiter was kind of "forgetful"? Overworked or something but, he was pleasant & courteous,
NO STRAWS THAT DAY, don't ask me why guys am just the messenger,
But by All means it's WORTH WHILE.
GO EAT THERE.i recommended it

This is not100% Japanese flavor, but it is one of the closest I've experienced in NorCal. So it is definitely worth the price. Large portions of pork slices and friendly service. I go there every month or so.

I am not partial to restaurants that expect you to tip before you receive your meal.

Counter service generally is iffy whether the service is going to be good or not

The server gave my food to another person and did not realize until the person was halfway done eating my order. So I had to wait. She also did not bring my hot tea till I was through eating. I had to ask twice. She did tell me the tea would be hot. However, I did not expect it to scald me. I jumped out of my seat and spilled some on my hand and table.

I was so upset. The tea burned my mouth so bad I got a blister on the inside and top of my lip.

They should never serve tea that hot. If it were given to a child, it would have been extremely bad.

Not a bad ramen place. It is convenient, fast and priced reasonably. However this is not the most authentic ramen you can get around the area. The broth is tasty but overly salty. The chashu is okay. The soft boiled eggs are surprisingly good. We also ordered a side of kaarage. It's tad bit too greasy to our liking. Again, if you have a sudden craving of a ramen bowl, this is not a bad choice. But if you are looking for that rich, authentic broth with Japanese ramen (the fresh made kind), you may want to look around.
The restaurant setup is simple and clean. Napkins and chopsticks are provided on all tables. Customer service is alright, it's kinda like a ramen fast-food restaurant so no body will come up to check on with you, which I actually appreciate.
There are quite some street parking spots but since it's the downtown area, plan ahead if you are driving especially during the weekends. There are two free parking structures around too so parking shouldn't be a huge issue.

Best Ramen I ever had.
Very big portions and has different spicy levels.
Great good!

Ordered 2 vegetable ramen via Uber Eats and the amount of broth they provided was enough for only 1. Needless to say, I have extra noodles with no broth. Location in San Leandro is way better.

I have been to four Ramen 101's including this location and I would say this is the best yet. I had the black garlic ramen. I'm not a fan of corn or sprouts in ramen but I didn't want to modify. The ramen was quick. Not three minutes quick but enough time to wash up and check a couple of emails. The presentation was excellent. The egg was cut in half. There was a whole egg, not half of one egg. The yolk was uncooked, smooth, and creamy. The broth was excellent. It was well balanced between savory, creamy, and brothy from top to bottom of the bowl. The interior was also well decorated kept tidy.
