Ramen Izakaya Goku reviews
18One of the best bowls of ramen that I've had. Everything in the bowl was incredibly flavourful and delicious. Would absolutely come back when we're in town and highly recommend to anyone.
Had the straightforward tonkotsu ramen.good but not spectacular.had no cell reception or wifi so knocking a point but otherwise would recommend to others.
Amazing food and cozy feels. I sat at the bar and the cooks were very friendly and I enjoyed my time there.
The roasted garlic ramen is a garlic lover's dream and one I drive over the bridge often for. In general, I enjoy various items on their focused menu but I just can't stop ordering the roasted garlic version. Of note, and I love this about the restaurant, there is little to no cell signal. That means you can stay off your phone and really just enjoy your food and the conversation you may have with your guest. A simple yet delicious neighborhood eatery.
I love this place. It’s a cozy, local joint. Quick service, the Tonkatsu ramen is so hearty and delicious. My go to place on a cold/windy day and one of the best ramens in the city!
Best ramen I have ever had. You don't have to worry about picking "the wrong one". I recommend having the Goku buns as an appetizer as well. The only downside is that it opens at 5: 30 pm so you'd have to plan ahead to have some.not something you can just grab driving through sf
Update: even years later, this place still has the same charm and great flavors.
Original: Surprised by this last minute decision. This is now my favorite ramen in the city.
This was one of the best Tonkotsu I have had in a long time. The pork belly just melted in my mouth. Thought I would need to add more pork as most spots skimp on it but they didn’t disappoint
First time here. Great atmosphere. Like the woody interior and nice music. The young Asian lady service is very good and considerate too. I got the garlic ramen and it's great! My wifey normally don't eat fatty chashu but the one from them is so nicely marinated that she just love it. Will come again!
Gyoza and roasted garlic ramen were really good. Garlic chips could have been a little less roasted, but good overall.
Amazing food and atmosphere at a great price. Pointing at the menu items you want and wordlessly smiling when ordering will help avoid any unfortunate interactions with the wait staff, which might otherwise ruin what is typically an awesome experience.
Incredible. You can't get braised pork this good in an American BBQ place. I have to come back and try the spicy pork. Very friendly people, eating here was my first time ever trying sake and they let me try a couple different types for free. Rice wine beats potato vodka with a bat in a dark alley. Pure respect for their craft here.
Amazing! Food is wonderful has great flavor. The staff is very friendly and attentive would give it more stars if I was able to, will definitely go back again soon!
Best ramen place in SF hands down. Pork that crumbles in your mouth. Medium spice is perfect!?
One of my favorite ramen places in San Francisco. Fresh, delicious, and classic location in the Mission
A little late night Ramen dining any one? Really beautiful for 1 or 2 or a lite business meeting of 4.
Pleasant, peaceful and real RAMENY. A friend an I casually had a nice time and enjoyed our Ramen evening. THANK YOU Ramen Izaks for making everything easy and delightful.
This used to be a favorite spot of ours, but won't be anymore after our latest experience. We arrived when we were told our takeout order would be ready and waited for an additional 20 minutes. During this time a delivery person was told his order would be ready soon repeatedly, only for them to realize someone else had already picked up his order. They weren't even apologetic about the fact that he'd wasted 30 minutes waiting around because of their mistake. When we finally got our food it was pretty bad. I had exactly one bamboo shoot and zero kikurage mushrooms in my Tonkotsu ramen, and they forgot to give me the extra broth I had paid for. I'm giving three stars instead of one because I've had better quality ramen here in the past, but I won't be coming back after this experience.
