Rancho del Sol Golf Club reviews
15Challenging course. I've played it maybe 6 times in the past year. Each time I have experienced fairways in good to great shape, and fast greens. I think the front 9 is a little more difficult than the back 9. The back offers a great layout with some cool views. Maybe the best value of any course in Riverside County on week days.
Course charged holiday rates for the entire week! $75. Greens chewed up as usual. Not coming back.
Honestly, this place is a very fun and well maintained place to play! Pat got us going and led us right to the 1st tee box under the bridge and across the street. Front 9 is fun, but back 9 has some amazing scenery. Will absolutely be back to play here. Thanks for a fun afternoon, cheers!
Very friendly staff, except the younger lady who drives the morning snack cart. Very rude and told me and my party to leave.
Such a bad condition course - cut some damn grass on the green and fairways and every tee box is extremely uneven.literally walk around every tee box to find a flat even surface.absolutely terrible.never coming back here
would never ever recommend to anyone.wish i can give negative review
Great course for the value. Will definitely come back. They also have military discount. Fast greens at this time. No beer cart when I was playing at 3: 00pm - 6: 00.
Nice layout, decent local option for those in Riverside county. Golfers on the course are friendly, and so is staff. Good place to get a round in
The course is in pretty decent shape. Unfortunately the clubhouse and all of the amenities of the past are shut down. Concrete golf cart paths are in need of a lot of concrete repair. Course infrastructure needs a lot of work. Routine maintenance does not appear to be occurring.
So, let me tell you about my recent golfing adventure. The golf course was absolutely fantastic, my friend! The fairways were like lush carpets, and the greens were so smooth, I felt like I was putting on glass. It was a golfer's paradise!
Now, let's talk about the golf carts. Oh boy, those little buggies were a blast! They zoomed around like speedy turtles, carrying us from hole to hole with ease. I must say, they were the perfect companions for our golfing escapades.
But here comes the funny part, my dear reader. Brace yourself for the tale of Nemo and the grumpy old man. Picture this: I approach Nemo, a staff member, with a burning question, ready to receive some helpful advice. However, instead of a warm and friendly response, I was met with a short and dry reply. It was as if Nemo had just eaten a lemon and was not afraid to show it. Talk about being annoyed!
Now, I couldn't help but wonder why Nemo was in such a sour mood. Maybe he was secretly mad at the world because he had to work that day. Who knows? But one thing's for sure, his grumpiness didn't go unnoticed.
And let's not forget about the grumpy old man lurking outside. He was like a grumpy garden gnome, scowling at everyone who dared to cross his path. I couldn't help but chuckle at his grumpy demeanor. Maybe he had mistaken the golf course for a retirement home and was just upset that he couldn't find his rocking chair.
All in all, my experience at the golf course was a mixed bag. The course itself was a dream come true, but the staff, particularly Nemo and the grumpy old man, left a little to be desired. But hey, life is full of surprises, and encountering grumpy characters only adds to the hilarity of it all. So, next time you hit the greens, keep an eye out for Nemo and the grumpy old man, and don't forget to bring your sense of humor along for the ride!
Had a great round a few days ago and the starter was friendly and had advice for the course. (African American gentleman).
I played again today and the starter was unfriendly and rude. (Weldon) I teed off as a 2some behind a 4some. We patiently waited for our turn and kept up the pace of play without complaint. Then on the 15th hole the marshall/starter comes up and tells us we are not keeping up pace of play. We were meeting up with the foursome at every tee box because we were on their tail. The marshall just wanted to harass us. He never check with the foursome to see if we were right behind them the whole time nor did he check with the 2some behind us who could see the 4some the whole time too. On top of that they were doing aerification while we were golfing. They were pulling plugs out of the fairways as we were hitting our ball they would not move and we had to wait numerous times for them to finish the fairway before we could hit. When I called to make the tee time nobody told me about the course being aerated. That was unacceptable conditions.
Great course with great value. At the time of this review, fairways and greens are in good condition. Greens were moderately challenging, straightforward and true. Fairway ‘roughs’ were just bare and dried out soil with thistle weeds (a plus if you miss fairways often and have to find your ball). Front 9 & back 9 offer different course design, perspectives and undulations. Golf cart also comes with cooler & ice which is highly appreciated. I actually left my rangefinder on the cart and the staff was kind to save and returned it to me. Will be playing here again for sure.

First time here, loved the place. Fairways very clean and green,
greens very well kept,
the views of the valley are amazing,
Pat, the starter, was SOOO nice.definitely will come back!
The grass was so long it was hard to find your ball on the fringe of the fairway. Then the course Marshal was so full of himself that he wanted to argue about me having the golf cart 15 feet off the cart path, in the rough, during wet conditions. I won't go back. There are too many golf courses around to put up with a course Marshal that wants to give me an attitude for trying to keep the pace of the game so he can protect the overgrown rough.
Great Pete Dye course. I hope they finish with all the construction and the clubhouse soon.
Prices are reasonable for the quality of the course. An extremely fun course with water features on the front nine and up in the hills for the back nine!
Greens were in really good condition, fairways were playable.
Great knowledgeable staff which helps with the flow and overall great experience!
Thank you Rancho Del Sol Golf Club
