Rancho Los Coches RV Park, Lakeside CA

This place is so quiet, affordable, especially for full timers. There's a pool and the town of lakeside is so nice

We stayed here for almost a week. I was very happy with our choice. We had full hookups for a reasonable rate. The park was very quiet and clean. There was a pool and hot tub both of which were nicely maintained and cleaned. My daughter enjoyed the pool a lot! It was not far from attractions such as the beach, San Diego, etc. I would 100% stay here again!

There was some annoyance of black flies (would recommend a disposable fly trap bag) and ants. We did have an ant invasion but with outdoor insect repellent, a vacuum, and Terro Ant Traps they were gone in a couple of hours. I would not consider this a negative as you are camping.

We stayed at Rancho Los Coches RV Park for 3 weeks. Our site was wide with lots of trees and a nice patio area. The park has a great pool and they even had a potluck dinner one night. There are lots of permanent folks here. Mostly Navy and Electric Linesmen. Housing is expensive in the San Diego area so the RV Parks are full.
Just a couple of cons. The park is built on hills. Be careful before you try to park your RV. It can be very challenging with a big rig. We saw several folks having difficulty getting in and out of sites. Also, the sites are invested with ants. We were fighting ants in our coach all 3 weeks. We bought spray and tried to control them but they still go in. We bug bombed after leaving.
Otherwise we liked the park. The whole area of San Diego is expensive. This park is less expensive (however still expensive) but pretty far out from the San Diego sites. It’s a 40 to 60 min drive to most attractions.

Great RV Park, super friendly and helpful staff, very clean, pool and restrooms are very nice. We are medical traveling professionals and we highly recommend Rancho Los Coches to our fellow medical professionals.

We truly enjoyed this RV park while in the San Diego area for business. It was extraordinarily quiet there, and we slept well. The grounds were immaculately kept. The laundry room was clean and fully equipped and functional. We did not use the bathrooms, so we can not comment on them. The landscaping is lovely and exhibits many interesting plants. Free cable boxes are offered to connect to the free cable television. The pool looked nice. We appreciated the historic aspects of the park. We heard no traffic noise from nearby I-8. We were able to arrange for washing our fifth wheel. The RV washing company was recommended by the park. They made special arrangements to schedule us in. They did a great job.

This park is truly an oasis in the middle of the San Diego urban sprawl. They call themselves the area's best-kept secret, and it's not an exaggeration. It is tucked away from the city behind trees and beside a stream and hills. It is peaceful, but you have access to all the benefits of the city. Super close to everything San Diego has to offer. This park is VERY well cared for. Maintenance staff are friendly and actively tending to the park daily. The team managing the park office are remarkably friendly, flexible, and communicative. I've been to many campgrounds and rv parks across the country, and have met some lovely campground managers, but the folks at Rancho Los Coches set a new standard. I never felt so welcomed and looked after as I did by the folks at this park. I had very strong Verizon and AT&T service for working remotely on Zoom daily. I was here with multiple rigs (26ft class c and a 16ft travel trailer with a Jeep Cherokee), and had a chance to try spots 8,9, and 60 which were all pretty level with full hookups. 8/9 are centrally located in the park, so I had easy access to everything, but didn't feel like I was disturbed by lots of park "traffic". I was able to receive packages directly to my site from Amazon, FedEx, and UPS. Great laundry facilities with tons of machines. A nice pool. And lots of little outdoor areas for taking a stroll or picnicking by the stream. Can't wait to come back here, this park is a godsend.

A nice property. Maintenance does a great job. UNFORTUNATLEY its run like a prison and the wardens name is DENISE NICHOLS. This lady not only looks exactly like Woody Harrelson's landlord in Kingpin but has the same personality. Rules and Rules & Horrors.more later. So they have solar panels everywhere, but they will charge u 300 bucks+ 4 power and laugh about it. The place sucks as long as denise calls the shots. So many better places close and near. Reasonable rates on short term and long term. Hot tub, pool, and bathrooms are always kept clean. Landscape is done very well. Neighbors are nice and friendly. Slow driving though the park is respected. Safe neighborhood with plenty to do. 4 hole disk golf course along a natural river is awesome! No complaints, just praise!

I am active duty military and have stayed at multiple parks across this beautiful country but, DONT LIVE HERE! I stayed here a couple months ago and i would rather be deployed over sea's then stay here again. This park is a joke! The front office is like a high school lunch room. Denise the manager plays favorites with the people that live here by choosing what rules each person has to follow. Denise is one of the most disrespectful people i have ever met. She calls you a liar and any time you say something she doesn't like, she roles her eyes and up's her tone at you.   there is a complete lack of communication in this business with the staff and the people that live here. Maybe once they get an attitude adjustment and some new management, i will try it again.
