Rancho Los Feliz Apartment Homes, Los Angeles CA

Pros:
1) The complex is well kept and the maintenance crew are very attentive and respond quickly.

2) Apartments are clean as are the complex grounds. They vacuum the hallways and sweep/mop stairwells regularly.

3) Pool is well kept and the gym has what you need for a decent work out. It's no LA fitness but it has dumbells, kettle bells, lat pull down, a couple machines, a bench, chair but lacks barbells.

4) There are grills surrounding the area, they're kept open though and sometimes snails crawl in there, a bit gross but you can't have it all I suppose.

Cons:
1) AC and water pressure is a bit weak, I am also not able to flush TP down the toilet without having to plunge it, #2s can also be risky (lol). The water temperature has been finicky. There was a 2 week period where I was only receiving cold water for showers but the pressure is the main issue for me since I can't flush anything besides liquid down the toilet. I have to throw away toilet paper bc if I ever flush even just 3-4 squares it will not go down (I am a girl so it's been an issue). Maintenance tried to fix it but their solution was to flush then flush again mid flush (I've already found this sometimes will work but it doesn't always, maybe 1/5 times does this work).

2) Another issue I deal with is that my front door handle comes out everytime I open my door. Maintenance has come and "fixed" the issue only for it to return after 2 weeks. This is a major issue as anyone can just come in my apartment if they tried. I can put it back together but if you were to pull it to open the door it would just come off again.

Despite the cons, I would recommend this complex. At the end of your lease you stay month to month until you're ready to move. I pay 1500 for the 425 sqft studio but prices have seemed to sky rocket since I've moved here in Nov 2020. It is now 2300-2500 depending on the rate for the day (this can be checked via the rancho website) which is a way overpriced IMO.

Nice property, but the management is terrible. Assistant manager has a nasty attitude.

A man died in his apartment on my floor and was sitting there for almost a week. The whole hall smelled awful and they didn't even tell anyone what happened.

All the appliances are old, they have cheap paint, and they have a really old electrical system so alot of the outlets don't work, and the microwave and stove will go out often.

The face covering requirement in the leasing office is ambiguous, because I was chastised quite harshly for wearing a face covering that they deemed inadequate. Apparently it has to be a face covering that was specifically engineered for the face. So bandanas and other garments that weren't specifically designed for the face are not allowed. This exception should be posted, or they should at least be friendlier about the enforcement of this unposted rule

The whole experience was very pleasant, Miss Leydi made me feel at home, she helped me and listened to my needs, she is very patient and friendly, her service was excellent. In the same way, the Manager was very kind and helped me in the process.this place is very beautiful is everything and has everything I'm looking for

I lived here in 1/1980 to 8/1983 and I loved it. I am curios to see what the Large efficiency apartment with a small balcony looks like now. I was on the third floor-first apartment by the stairs overlooking garden area on one side and the parking area above the laundry room. Can’t remember my number. It was a great place to live.

I viewed 10 apartments throughout L. A.and thought the RLF was the best in terms of quality of room, apartment community/amenities and location. A few weeks in and those items still hold true! The leasing staff was very helpful in the process. Darius L.went above and beyond- I had submitted an application and was excited about it, but bummed that I missed out one with a patio/balcony. He followed up with me when one became available and I was able to get the spot I wanted. He didn’t have to do that and it made me feel very grateful.

My situation was dire. The home I am currently renting was sold and I was given 60 days to find a new place to live. I had spent over $300 in application fees, looked at hundreds of apartments and it was a disaster until I called Rancho Los Feliz.

I was able to do a virtual tour. Francine then called me on FaceTime to walk me through the grounds and answer all my questions. I applied, was processed, and accepted before 6pm the SAME DAY!

I really enjoyed the amenities the complex made available. The outdoor areas were clean and inviting.

The leasing agent was friendly, honest, and offered a lot of insight during the tour. Also, he spoke to current residents along the way and it made it seem very hospitable.

Great experience. Always returned my calls with answers and info requested, very helpful in the application process and move-in was a breeze. Special shout-out to Shirley who was just great!

Rancho Los Feliz has always been my go to everytime I move back to LA. 4th time! And the leasing team has always been accommodating! Thank you Erika and staff for going above my expectations! Move in was great and I couldnt ask for a better place to be!

I've been living here for over 2 months and I love it. Its very clean and well maintained. The office managers are prompt with taking calls and giving service. The maintenance crew is prompt, punctual, and helpful. The heated pool is gorgeous and the surrounding atmosphere is very welcoming. There are beautiful trees, plants, and green shrub scenery. The amazing waterfalls and flowing water around some of the apartment buildings is very relaxing. There is a 24 hour fitness/gym center that has great exercise equipment. There is a sauna available for use. This place is very dog friendly, cat friendly, and we have cute squirrels that roam around freely. The laundry rooms are available 24 hours as well. We are a gated community with very cheerful people here so you can easily make friends. I would recommend this place to live.
-I have only one complaint: the parking spots are really tight- just like like everywhere else that has tight parking, though.

Incredibly responsive staff that actually cares about you personally. They went out of their way to get wood floors for me last minute before I moved in and even came to check on me after I moved in. The security and maintenance teams are so friendly start conversations with me when they see me around the complex as well:)

I just moved in and totally love it this place. The apt is great the staff is good and the management are helpful and friendly.

I enjoyed living in Rancho Los Feliz. This apartment complex is quiet and clean and has a pool and a gym. Leasing office personnel and all other employees that take care of the property are professional and kind. I would like to thank Mariah especially for assisting me with moving in and out. Overall, I recommend this building and happy I chose to live in that complex in the first place.

I have never experienced an apartment management team as so professional, friendly, proactive, and community-centered as this team. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept and not once did I ever feel unsafe or uneasy about living here. Thank you, Rancho Los Feliz for making my living experience so comfortable here.

Overall experience and staff was positive. Having not been used to apartment living, the barking dogs and noisy neighbours above (feels like someone walking on ur head). But that was just par for the course. Unconscious dog owners snd people unaware of a larger environment besides their own. The grounds are always clean and a serenity felt even though ur right next to a freeway and busy blvd. Ranchos felt like an oasis in the middle of the bustle. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a temp stay in the city.

The rancho staff and community is amazing. This is truly a gem of a place to move into in LA. Bordering Glendale and the beautiful Griffith park, this should be high on your priority list to move into if your a Californian!
