Ranger 85 Sportfishing reviews
5Had a great time. While I would have loved to have a chance to catch more than just blue fin tuna. Was still a great trip. We all did pretty well. We almost limited on blue fin and had 3-4 dorado. The deck hands were great and friendly. They love what they do. The food was good. If I was to complain anything, would be the lights in the bunks. Next time I’ll make sure to bring something to block the light from my bunk. I believe that’s normal on boats like this. Looking forward to my next trip.
Great fishing vessel, had a blast on this boat only my second time on here. Captain Jake took us to the Tanner banks to anchor up for Bluefin fishing. We got our limits. Fished on a 1.5 08/15/23-08/17/23. Was on a seeker sponsored trip was a blast. Food and crew were excellent. Would highly recommend this boat.
This is a favorite boat running of Channel Islands. Great crew. Excellent amenities including sleeping quarters. High quality Captain that put you on the fish. If you ain’t limiting on this boat something is definitely wrong.
Took a 1.5 day trip just came back. Phenomenal crew and captain and an amazing experience. The boat feels spacious compared to others. The crew helped us out a ton and were very friendly! The food was great and they had hot showers, something not all boats have. The trip was awesome and am definitely going again!
Out of Channel islands we had a good trip as far as fishing. The Galley sucked, food quality well below average for a charter, more importantly, good size fish we caught didn't make it into our bags after they were fileted. A few of anglers noticed we were short fish prior and it fell on deaf ears. It turned a good trip into a complete bummer that people have to steal. I know a few of the deckhands were caught putting the fish in the wrong numbered sacks, by simply just not paying attention and had to be corrected several times!
