Raptor Dive Charters reviews
9The captain and crew of the Raptor were excellent in every possible respect. It was one of the best dive-boat experiences I have ever had. Highly recommended.
Captain, deck master, deck hand and guides were all very personable and professional. Really loved the experience boating to and diving around Anacapa Island.
Best dive boat I have been on in California. Staff is very friendly and care deeply about the ocean. The only dive boat I take.
It was an overall great experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to get scuba certified!
A few things to keep in mind as the vibe on the boat has changed under new ownership.
1. COVID is over so don’t attribute no food to COVID. Your competitors up and down the coast have food.
2. Carry weights. You’re the only boat in SCAL that supplies tanks and no weights.
3. Offer beer for sale on the way home like before.
You have a great boat! Don’t pull back on the services from before. Until you change, I’ll be going a few docks down to the Specter that does serve food.
Robert Stane, Excellent dive boat, Extremely clean and very organized. Dive sights are great but not to see Alot of lobsters, However dive twords the front of the boat that leads to a Pinnacle and you will encounter a huge Sea bass im guessing 300 pounds and it seems as he was stalking us but not aggressive. Boat voted on moving the majority said yes but boat did not move on second tank dive unfortunate.
Liam & Jameson were exceptional very attentive understanding knowledgeable thanks so much
Fast dive boat, great staff. Friendly captain. Sadly we paid for 3 dives and got only 2 because of the site chosen- avoidable had they listened when told the current was too strong. But thankful that all divers came out safely. We dive the Raptor often, and will again.
After surviving through the pandemic 3 years without diving, my first dive was accommodated by Raptor on 12/30/2022. It's a bless that I found their boat dive trip to Channel Islands last minute for this unplanned dive trip. The entire experience was outstanding, they have to reschedule the trip one day earlier due to a storm, but they've done everything smoothly and professionally to make it happen (diligently calling everyone about the schedule change, finding me a new guide, etc.). Their hospitality, professionalism, and quality are much appreciated, I will recommend them to my dive buddy network for sure.
P. S. Diving So. Cal.during winter can be challenging due to the low water/body temperature, highly recommend you to pack hot food and beverage for the trip if possible.
