Raven Spa reviews
18The massage was incredible, ambience was super relaxing, the snack and tea were amazing after! Loved it
By far the worst massage I’ve ever had. It was actually painful and not in the good painful way. I paid for a 90 minute session and only 10 or less minutes were actually spent on my back and neck which was what I asked for. Most of the session was on my legs for some reason. And the entire massage was done with the massage therapist using her elbows. The ambiance was great with the sound of water, tea and fruit they served but the massage was horrible. And it was not cheap. I don’t mind paying a premium if the service is premium but it was not. Definitely not worth it. I will never go back.
The ambiance is nice and I like that they provide tea and fruit like they do in hamans.
But this was one of the worst massages we've had. My partner said his massage was so uncomfortable he just wanted to get up and leave. It caused him more pain than providing any easing or relaxation. They never worked on the areas we needed. I actually developed a new knot I didn't have before after getting this massage. The whole time I was thinking that I should just find out who is giving me my massage and never get her again, but after my partner told me his experience, we both decided just not to return at all.
Our first experience here was very good, but it's just such a gamble to spend that kind of money with this level of variation.
As always, Dada (the most intuitive massage therapist) gave the best massage! She is wonderful!
Iris was so kind, helpful, and generous with feedback on better products to use on my sensitive acne prone skin. I felt the glow afterward and the tension in my head, jaw, neck, and shoulders vanished. Fruit and tea was thoughtfully provided on my way out. 10/10 experience.
My husband and I booked a 90 minute massage with Bencha (sp) and Mary and we were both very happy. Both had medium to firm pressure. Very relaxing. Very cool interior as you feel transported to another time and county. After our massage they gave us tea, water and some fruit. Very nice.
This place sold me a gift card for $350 and when I went to use it got the first time there was a zero balance and when I complained they asked me to leave. Don’t buy gift cards here because they’re gunna take your money and then kick you out
Massage was excellent ; masseuse was skilled and knowledgeable. Premises could use a fresh coat of paint.
Raven spa has a beautiful ambience that feels like an oasis of tranquility. Massages are good and the staff is friendly.
I have been to both the Santa Monica and Silverlake locations and I love them both so much. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and kind, and the price point is insane given how high the quality is. 10000/10 I recommend them to anyone who will listen!
Looking for a traditional Thai massage place? This is it. I’ve been going here for 5 years & I just love this place.
You should get the Thai massage & do the scrub & soak it’s a really nice experience and very relaxing
My partner and I booked a Turkish soak, scrub, and massage in the Hammam at their Santa Monica location (+ The Facelift and Infrared sauna). Everything was truly a great experience! The space itself is very relaxing and quiet. We were there for a few hours, so our meter ran out. The woman working at the front even offered to go across the street and add extra time on her own card because my wallet was in my car. Extremely generous and thoughtful:) We would definitely come back!
Side note just based on my personal preference: if I had the option to choose I would have done the sauna before the soak / scrub / massage combo!
Santos & Most, Both wonderful technicians I always feel rejuvenated yet relaxed when I leave a session with them
Probably one of the worst spa experiences I’ve had. Was scheduled a 3: 30 appointment, therapist didn’t come for 15 minutes then shoos me into a section. Therapist kept leaving the massage area every 15 minutes and just stepped all over my back as a “deep tissue massage”. Still have tension and pain all over my body from it. Then abruptly ends my appointment in less than 40 minutes and am expected to pay for the whole hour? Honestly much better massage places around the area. Save your money and time. Extremely disappointed
Unfortunately I had a pretty bad experience there. I had asked for a female therapist when I booked the appointment but they only had a male therapist available. I went ahead with it but the promised Thai massage was a strange mix of different styles but definitely not a Thai massage. It was also noisy with cell phones ringing next to me twice. I left more agitated than relaxed.
) Way too much noise! No way to really enjoy my massage. I heard other therapists talking with their clients and consistent noise from the lobby. You should warn people ahead of time that your spa has a communal feel and services do not take place in private rooms. 2) I never asked for a couples type massage or soap and scrub. I made the appointments for my friend and I. I should have been asked if we would like to do the services together!
Raven spa always has the best masseuse. It's a little on the pricey side, but if you're looking for a local getaway THIS IS IT!
Went in for a couples Rockstar massage it was incredible.two hours of pampering: they start on your arms, hands, legs, feet then move on to the body and lastly end with a facial.
Incredible from beginning to end.
Unfortunately I totally disconnected while I was there because they do give you a little locker to put your stuff in; only snapped one picture of a frame in their restroom.
By the way speaking of that frame.that whole spot is a vibe.they really work at creating an environment it's the best.
I thought the "Turkish bath" or "hamman" would be more like the baths in the Middle East or North Africa when in fact is was just a regular tub. I would've liked more info on what to expect, I wasn't sure what to do with my hair and there were no directions or facilities to get ready for the day post treatment so I left with messy wet hair and no make up on. The whole experience was positive, great scrub and AMAZING massage.
