Great place to sit in the bleachers for lunch. Work close and Jane's bakery is across the street!

Kimball is an all turf, multi-sport field. You’ll need to call the SF Parks department to reserve. The restrooms are not clean.

Had to take my hubby to Kaiser a few blocks away and didn't want to torture my 2 yr old by making him wait in the car for possibly up to an hour. For being in a somewhat "rough" area this is a really nice and a lot of thought clearly went into this playground! I only say that because it is in the heart of the Fillmore and while the entire playground is gated, there were still some sketchy characters on the Geary side of the park where it seems a couple people are living out of their cars and also on the overpass that you HAVE to use to cross Geary on foot. I parked on Geary but noticed there was a TON of parking there which I assume was mostly because of the small homeless population. However I never felt awkward and didn't mind parking where I did because the people living in their cars seemed pretty harmless (no obvious drug/alcohol useage, aggression etc) and I didnt feel the least bit worried mostly because it is a very populated area and for a Sunday afternoon there was a lot of people and kids around. But I did notice that a 30something white guy had called the cops and they appeared to look around the perimeter of the playground (cops greeted kids that yelled hi but no stickers) but I'm assuming never found their suspect. Didn't notice anything came of it but a I'm born and raised SFer so I wasn't really alarmed by it as like I said it is the Fillmore. Had to note that because I think some people wouldn't have been as comfortable as I was because like I said I'm born and raised in the city, so none of this is new to me but I'm also a parent now so you do keep a mental note of these things and know when/where you need to be a little extra vigilant.
There are 2 structures one for smaller kiddos and toddlers and a bigger slightly more advanced one for bigger kids, and big enough for an Adult to follow a rambunctious daring little one. My 27 month old LOVED this park and while he didn't play much on them, he was fascinated watching older kids (7/8+) climb on the "rock climbing" rope structure.its basically a tightrope between two kid friendly "rocks" and there are a couple of these around the park for kids to play on/in. There are tons of things for kids of all ages to safely do while in the fully enclosed play area.

High quality place, despite the area. There were a few assumed homeless people around the edges, but the playground is a great time consumer for energy filled grandkids. The place is new and I recommend it.

I love that there's enough space for several groups of children to play. There are also a couple of trees for the kids that like get a little dirty or the imaginative types that are going on a bear hunt with their friends. I think the 2 negatives would be no bathroom close by and not enough shaded areas. It's crazy sunny there so you have many of the adults miserable from the heat. We actually have to bring spray bottles to spray the children so they don't get overheated.

There are many tables and chairs. Good for parents to sit and watch the children. The restroom should be serviced.

Nice playground. Get more littered than some other playground though. The tuff field right next to it is very convenient.

The concrete slides thrill my kiddo for some reason. He loves this playground, lots of options and lots of kids

Don't like the artificial turf they have on the field. It is constantly getting on our clothes and in our shoes. Instead of tracking dirt home, we get tiny pieces of turf. Also, because of the location, you may see dealers, junkies and maybe the occasional bum hanging around. Large fields to play on right in the middle of the city.

This clean park has a toddler playground and two soccer fields. It has a small grassy area and some places to sit mostly in the sun. It has a public restroom. A nice quiet place.

Very dirty park with lots of gross homeless people and with lots of criminals walking around. The field is super nice a large but sometimes on weekends it’s full of people playing sports.

I really like it it's very clean all the time! And everyone gets along with each other! Everyone watches out for one another! Which is really nice!

People have sex and do drugs in the bathroom all the time. Park patrol won't do anything about it

Beautiful playground! Mostly wood, they have rock like structures to climb. It is all on faux grass and is cushioned which is a great plus, I will say the best part for me is their are tables inside the play area making it convenient too have a bite of something and easily play and watch over your kids!

Fairly new playground with wonderful play structure for both very little toddlers and bigger kids. The ground is super springy to help soften any falls. Table area for picnics. Delicious but pricey bakery across the street (Jane) with yummy treats and coffee.

What a site to see and visit.
? Need some fresh air? A walk, a picnic and family time. How about a stroll with someone you like and adore. This is the park to do it all. Enjoy!

I love the view you get at the top of the park, which happens to alsobe the doggie section. Love dogs and trees. This is my favorite park in San Francisco atm.
