Great location and diverse menu served by super friendly staff at a cheap price. Bubble tea bubbles are kinda flaccid. Wooden row table seating.

Food is not bad (reason for a 2 star) but the staff isn’t too helpful. I left my raybans on the table and in a matter of 5 minutes of me returning from my car, it wasn’t there. I asked the staff and they were acting nervous about it, no interest and even helping.

Soup was ok, but the quesadilla was horrible. Pieces of bone and foul smelling, inconsistently cooked chicken comprised 2/3 of the pieces I was given.

Not worth $21 bucks, despite the decent portion sizes.

I've been to Ray's a couple of times to hang out with a group of friends. The first time I was here, I ordered a burrito, and the second time I ordered carnitas tacos. Overall, I think I prefer the tacos, as they had a good balance of meat to wrap to sauce, but the burrito was just a touch on the oily side. I do still recommend the burritos; they're quite filling and half of one can be saved for a subsequent meal.
I always like getting tea here, because they have really nicd chamomile tea which really hits the spot on cold nights. As a plus, it's close to a lot of graduate housing, has a lively atmosphere, and a diverse selection of cuisines to choose from (if that is a good or a bad thing, I cannot tell you). Also, the service is usually fairly quick and the staff are nice and efficient.
A minus for this place is the pricing. I feel it could be more affordable, but I guess the restaurant has to match the cost of living in this area. Another thing is the lack of vegetarian options, particularly for tacos, which becomes annoying for vegetarian students on Taco Tuesday (it's a special they run with discounted tacos).

What makes Ray's the key place on campus? The employees! The people behind the counter serve up a classic California cuisine that sometimes is hard to find - made just how it should be. My kids feel at ease here and there is a game room for kids upstairs. The beers on tap are just right to end that rough day of the academy. I stay away from their Thai food - I honestly don't know why it is even on the menu. My aunt ordered it once. Everything else is excellent. Again the employees make it that place.

There is absolutely no reason for me to wait 10 mins for my freaking americano when the guy that came after me got his breakfast burrito already. There are only 2 customers in there! Outrageous! Made me late!

Would rather eat here and support a family-owned restaurant than a chain on campus any day! HUGE and hardy salad portions!

Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating here, and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. The restaurant offers a variety of cuisine types, and servings are substantial for the price paid. The food is delicious.

Alright location for a wide range of food options from burgers to tacos and beer on campus. For the price, one would expect the portions to be a bit larger or at least come with a few more sides to make a better meal with little cost difference to the restaurant. This location is, however, open much later than a majority of the regular on campus locations, and as such tends to have a captured audience. It would be great if the location expanded seating and offered more options to engage with students such as trivia nights, socials, etc.to bring in students to the location. Also, burritos would be amazing.

Good prices, nice place to work and meet folks pre covid when the apartments are too quiet.

Ray's staff is extremely passive aggressive and unprofessional to the point of me feeling guilty for placing an order. I've had to eat here for a little over a year because I don't have meal swipes and I don't have time with work&school to cook or go off campus often.
I have politely endured countless passive aggressive behaviors from interactions with staff to the way they make food I have ordered. (I'm sure as countless others have. I've politely asked the staff to remake fries before because of the quality in the ones I recieved were brown and grease filled from being refried over and over again and met with anger. Making me afraid to honestly complain at all.)
Today's passive aggressive behaviors was over the line and it sucks because I feel helpless due to the fact of the staff all being related and feeding back into each other toxic behaviors and attitudes. It isn't fair that us as stressed out students that pay for a hard earned meal have to continuously endure this. I do understand people can be rude but I haven't been. Others haven't been either and are still met with apathy (as if your order is bothersome to them) or passive aggressive behavior. I asked for the managers email they said they didn't have it but gave me a random number. I asked for someone higher because if I do complain I'm complaining to a relative of theirs but of course they have no one I can talk to higher than them.

Sucks it had to come to this but I know that not voicing this would solve nothing. I also know voicing this now with how they are already I can't eat there anymore because frankly, I'm afraid they'd do worse to my food.

Food feels cheap and unhealthy and the vibe feels disgusting. Stanford having such an establishment as the main offering of food/drinks for graduate students off campus is embarrassing.
