I came in knowing nothing about tennis, but on a mission to buy a retirement gift for my boss. Not only did they make me feel comfortable, they listened to everything that I needed in the racket and even gave recommendations based on the profile I gave of my boss. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for an amazing tennis store that covers just about everything tennis!

Great shop! Family owned for years, the owner and adult daughter are very knowledgeable about everything tennis. They helped me find a tennis racquet to fit me and my skill level, they string racquets for a fee. They have a great selection of racquets, mostly high end racquets for intermediate to advanced players. They have apparel and tennis shoes for men, women and children. They have a practice wall in the back to try out the racquets. The store has a large selection of tennis merchandise in a small location, therefore, it’s a bit hard to move around as it’s pretty packed with inventory, especially if there’s other customers shopping, that’s probably the only con about this place. Highly recommend for all of your tennis needs, it’s a one stop shop with very knowledgeable staff.

Best tennis shop and stringer in town. Good deals that beat tennis warehouse or others. Helpful for beginners, and advanced players can count of having rackets matched or having quality stringing.

What can I say… Been coming here since a little boy. You will never forget the image of walking in and seeing Hiroko just dedicated to the craft.

First time purchasing from Ray's and it went very smoothly!

I've been looking for the Wilson Ultra Backpack to match my Ultra v3.0 racquet for some time. After seeing it sell out from most of the larger retailers, I found it available at Ray's for a very competitive price. Went ahead and purchased it, and it was shipped to my home outside of Chicago, arriving in a timely manner.

I'm now in the market for a new pair of hard-court shoes, and I wouldn't then purchase from Ray's!

I placed an online order from this place, and never got any update after the initial confirmation, couldn't get hold of the service through the phone or email, 3 weeks went by, still no delivery, and no updates. I wouldn't recommend this place, at least not for online ordering.

I walk in the lady at the stringing machine looks at me says hello
reaches into a stack of rackets hands me two, then
tells me go to the back as she points to the rear of the store
I walk back, hit balls against the wall with each racket
and one feels just right. (she knew what I wanted)
I hand over my CC and walk out with a new racket custom picked just for me.
