Red Lobster, San Diego CA

I have been to this location before and had to leave because the wait was too long once we got to our table. This time still took a while but we had more time. Our server Janya made everything worth it. Very kind, helpful, and I think she did the best she could. I know a lot of places are understaffed but with service like that it makes everything okay. The food was delicious as expected. We will be back.

The Lobster Tails were delicious. The service was top notch. A clean and friendly atmosphere.

accepted the order, after 40 minutes of waiting they refused the order due to lack of meat.

They didn't bring the wine that I ordered. Instead of red, they brought white (

Used to be our family restaurant of choice for birthdays and celebrations. The place has really gone downhill in the past few years. Menu is over-priced nowadays even taking into account inflation. Service was poor on 2 of the last 3 visits. This was our final visit.

The service really ruined thexperience, it seemed like other tables were more important than ours.

Went here for the endless shrimp deal. Server was very attentive and the food was good! Great experience here and didn't break the bank. Hoping to go back here before the deal ends

Came here for endless shrimp promo. Basically it is $23.99 per person for unlimited orders of 5 shrimp dishes. Each round can order 2 dishes per person. It came with a free side and biscuits. I love the flavor of biscuits btw!
It is generally a good deal considering the amount of shrimps one can eat. But, the food is kind of salty which limits one's appetite. We provided this feedback but they could not change the flavor. Alternatively, they offered grilled shrimps which is less salty.
We loved the coconut shrimps, Walt's favorite shrimps and grilled shrimps. Others like bacon shrimps we would not order again. Ah also they didn't have Argentine shrimps for the day.

(For location 8330 Mira Mesa Blvd, 92126) Sunday Nov 6th I placed an online order around 3pm for two orders (to pick up @ 6: 15pm) of Surf (Lobster) and Turf 6oz Sirloin Steak, with add-ons of Fettuccine Alfredo and Shrimp Scampi, both with loaded Baked Potatoes, and two House Salads. Apparently when Red Lobster is out of any item and you ordered it online, your Order will be unilaterally cancelled and your charge refunded without ANY NOTIFICATION TO CUSTOMER except an email, No Phone call, no text was received. Luckily I was close by and saw the email that my entire Order (total Order $112.00) was cancelled. I was at Von’s close by so I immediately drove over and went in to restaurant to see if this could be corrected. After resubmitting my ENTIRE ORDER for the 2nd time and paying another $92.60 (female manager took off $10) and going thru each ordered item they FORGOT the Shrimp Scampi. And this was after sitting at your Bar for over an Hour waiting on my food.

Why in the world would you cancel ANY customer’s ENTIRE ORDER because you’re out of Lettuce? ! Is this Red Lobster’s Standard in Customer Relations? This is BAD BUSINESS.period. Why couldn’t you just have texted me “please come in to pick up order, we were out of an item” … that is an EASY solution. But instead my order was cancelled.

So now I am STILL WAITING ON MY REFUND FOR $112. I sincerely doubt I will ever visit a Red Lobster again.

***11/8/2022: Per below instructions, I messaged Red Lobster via Facebook messenger on 11/7 and still No Response.

Went for an early dinner. Enjoyed endless shrimp for only $23.99. Love the biscuits too. Great service from Wendy our waitress.

Go find Nina! Best service we've ever get! She has so much passion and enthusiam. She gave us great suggestion on food and cocktails. She always came around to ask for what's needed. She offered great service! Before dinner, I actually had a day with a bit depression, but totally cured by Nina! She passed her happiness to me. Go talk to her! You'll have a wonderful night.

The food was good. My service was not so much. My server didn’t give me the bread biscuits initially, but all the other tables around me got them. I ordered mashed potatoes but got a loaded baked potato instead. The server said, ” They didn’t give you mashed potatoes, so I gave you a baked potato and then loaded it for you ”. I liked baked potatoes, so I was okay with that. It would have been better for him to come and say, “ there were no mashed potatoes. What would you like instead? I asked for more butter but never got it. Then, when I asked for a box to go, my server said, ” would you like the biscuits to go since I didn’t bring them to you”. I said yes. He never brought biscuits out to me. My server acted friendly, but the energy overall was just off. I still love Red Lobster. One server on one particular day doesn’t make up for a restaurant not being good. I still love the food but going out is an experience that needs to match the food as well.

The waitress that helped us tonight was very professional and nice. Always with a smile. And the food was delicious. Btw our waitresses name was Tammy
