Awesome place for the kids during the summer. My daughter attends swim lessons and the instructors are great with the kids.
The playground is pretty cool, although it gets packed with big kids pretty quick, leaving. Not much of an area for the little kids to play in.

We came as a family to the aquatic center for a field trip. The aquatic center gave NO rules NO papers or electronic paperwork to let us know the children needed a swim test before the slide or the diving board could be used. Jade the supervisor was sitting doing nothing and could have done a swim tests for the children that were late or didn’t hear what was going on. Lots of children could not do all the activities because this person announced this when we got here. Unfortunately not everyone heard her. Very poor communication on the city’s employees they hired. I expect better for a city I live in and pay taxes to! You should be ashamed Aquatic center it was a field trip and and not all the kids were able to do everything that they could have in 2 hours. Plus this place was closed down for this field trip.

Absolutely beautiful massive olympic sized pool. Unfortunately that is the only good thing about this place.

Warning if your child is not the best swimmer, do not bring them here. On the day of my visit I saw pedestrians make more saves than their guards. There was one guard I believe Issac who made two saves and I could tell was actually monitoring the pool. Literally I saw random bystanders make 5 saves. The real issue is with Jesse. I’m not sure if she is management or what because of her burgundy polo. She was conducting the swim test and TWO children were drowning in front of her and each time a parent had to get in to make the save. Now I assume she is lifeguard certified since she’s the one conducting the swim test. I just don’t understand how you are only watching 10 kids in front of you and you manage to let 2 nearly drown. When confronted she had such a smug attitude. Definitely worth an investigation into her qualifications to a. Lifeguard b. Conduct a swim test c. Manage a staff of lifeguards/run aquatic center.

Again absolutely beautiful pool, just a criminally unqualified staff to be monitoring children.

Poolside, fun, & sun; doesn't get much better than that. The water was refreshing & a good time was had by all. Rented one of the tables under the canopy for our daughter's birthday party & everyone was comfy & accomodated.

Almost a perfect score. Nice place and good price. But last summer I had an unsettling experience. I was sitting on a chair with a book, minding my own business, but I noticed that a female lifeguard kept looking at me. I then relocated to another chair, and as I walked to it, I turned and saw the lifeguard staring at me as I walked. Have you ever heard the phrase: "It's rude to stare at people"? So, sometime went by and I sat with my book on the new chair. I decided to glance at the lifeguard, and her head was turned and she was looking at me. This was creepy. I sensed that she was suspicious of me, but there was no reason for her to be. Lifeguards and employees shouldn't make customers feel uncomfortable. I think a lot of Californians are paranoid and suspicious of others.

Went with 3 generations of my family. Had THE BEST TIME! Even though it looked kind of crowded, once inside, crowding was NEVER a problem. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The slides & obstacle course were A BLAST! The life guards were VERY ATTENTIVE to the waters. THE MOST FUN I'VE HAD IN YEARS! And prices to get in were very reasonable. The water Temps were perfect. They even had multiple parties going on. SOOOO MUCH FUN FOR ALL AGES. They even have a low diving board as well as a high dive. A MUST GO-TO PLACE WHEN IN REDDING WHEN LOOKING TO HAVE FAMILY FUN!

Whole family has loved the aquatic center. Daughter chose to have her birthday party here. Was told park would be open till 7pm and party was at 3pm. On day of party was informed last minute park would be closing at 4: 30. Paid a total of 180$ for kids to swim for maybe a total of 30 mins in between pizza and cake. Didn’t even have time to open gifts. Had I known they were closing at this time, I would’ve not had party there to begin with. Very disappointing experience for parties.

Way way better than Waterworks and way cheaper too! The only downfall is they are not open as much. Other than that, you can bring your own food, drinks and literally spend hours of actual water time without out all the lines and tweaker people that you get from Waterworks.

My kids and I LOVE the aquatic center. It's so much cheaper than waterworks and has a lot less people so it's not crowded. The slide is fun, the playground is amazing for the the little ones, and they even have 2 diving boards, one of which is a tall high dive. It's a great place to take the family

I usually love this place but I'm super disappointed do not pay for the 150$ party package it's not worth it just stick with the 45$ because they let us in late there was no announcement or mascot and only 2 pitchers of water not juice and the decorations they claim to do were only 2 plain red table covers that's it save your money

Great and clean pools. Gotta say the staff smelled putrid tho. Wish they didn’t have to watch us shower

I totally love the aquatic center it's an awesome public pool with high and low diving boards and there's a giant slide, there is a whole side of the center with a jungle gym type playground inside of a kiddie pool area with lots of water features. There's a concessions stand like at a sports field or I guess a "snack bar" lol. Lifeguards are always on duty and they are always vigilant, they actually rotate stations so that they don't get like complacent or I assume to keep them on there toes, certainly makes them very diligent whistle blowers if you break the safety rules (they're great at their jobs lol. The aquatic center is located across from basketball courts and a nice skatepark all of this located in Caldwell park on the Sacramento river.
