Unfortunately I’m having to write a bad review. I cannot say anything bad about the park since I was not able to go on our trip. I have tried contacting them several times through phone and email to cancel my reservation with no return reply. I was still charged for the 2 nights I booked even though I cancelled in time. Very uncool of the park to not only not respond but then to still charge me. Be careful when you book that you don’t need to cancel because you will not get your money back!

This was difficult to find as it is behind some businesses next to the 101. No WiFi or cable, but the cabin was clean.

This place is one of a kind for the area. It's a hidden gem behind a family owned lumber yard. Great staff, clean facilities and has pool, spa and playground for the kids. Family and pet friendly.

A nice place to put up your feet and regroup.
I've stayed here as often as I've been in the area. I've pulled trailers and rented cabins. The showers are clean and the water is hot. There are dump sites at each space or if your pulling through you can even rent a shower and dump for $20-
Some very basic items as super over priced. I suggest you bring most of your favorites with you. Things like snacks, booze, and even firewood. Right at the entrance is a large logging site that will be less costly. The firewood I bought from the Redwood Coast was very young and sappy. Could not be lit thill the week after I bought them. I pull a vintage camper trailer and I'm fully equipped. I make fires and cook on the grill because I like it! Nothing says "bummer" like not getting those S'mores you and the kids we're waiting for. Office closes at will so be prepared. It's cool unless you're out of propane. It this time it's in the mid 30's so propane is important. Over all nice location. Closest Safeway is in Arcata and less than Five miles away. Anywhere on the Lost Coast is a challenge so I dare you to give it a try. Beauty, quiet, lovely sunrises and sunsets. Dress for the weather, bring the dog. Bring your lover. You'll be pleased. The average hotel fee is over $125- so gas prices prohibit travel. Make it easy on your wallet. Four stars.

I have visited Eureka over a dozen times and this October was my first time to stay at this place. I have stayed in other RV parks, motels and even camped it in the area. I would definitely return. Here is what I liked about this place.
They are only 5 minutes from downtown Eureka. The drive into town is so pleasant along the bay and you will be sad it didn't last longer after driving through all the mountains to get here.

The park is easy to find and right off of the freeway. Since the freeway speed limit is 50 mph you don't have that loud woosh noise all day and night like some parks close to freeways. It is also tucked behind another business that blocks the noise.

You actually have a view of the bay/ocean making the sunsets amazing. You can easily take a kayak across the highway and drop it in the bay.

I felt really safe here unlike staying in downtown Eureka where it is super sketchy most places even if the motel is nice.

I usually have my RV but this time I stayed in a cabin for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised how clean and neat the cabin was. It came with towels and all the bedding made up. The heater at night kept me plenty warm. No bugs or dirt inside. It has a deadbolt to keep you safe.

The staff was very nice. The park staff smiled and said hello when we would walk by each other.

The store has beer from local craft breweries of which there are many in this area sitting in the cooler. There is enough supplies to tidy you over until you need to go a regular size grocery store.

The entire park is on flat ground so no need to worry about being level if you are RVing it. Each site is spacious and clean

The cabins are nice because with your car parked only a few feet away, makes luggage and pets and kids an easy transition or just leave it in the car and get it if you really need it, kids included. They have swings on the front porch of which I found delightful at sunset. The price of a cabin is less than a motel room in town.

This place has a clean and well maintained playground and pool.and hot tub. They also have mini golf and giant chess board.

The bathrooms were clean and cleaned regularly. I didn't go during when it was busy so maybe two showers in the front bathroom might get busy with more guests or a full park.
There is a dog park and laundry as well.

The tent sites are along the circumference of the property and they are all level with grass and fire pits. Plenty of room and they are divided by bushes.

They have a dump station.

You can shower and dump for a fee if you are not camping there. If you are a guest dump and showers are included. The bathrooms and showers have codes on them.

This place is far enough from town that the riff raff don't come close like many places but you are still close to town.

To make it 5 stars would be putting slabs down in the RV spots and resurfacing the roads within. There is nothing wrong with them but they are not as polished looking as the entrance is.

If I were traveling from the south I would stop at the Redwood parks before I got here. It is a decent drive to get to them from here. Enjoy the ocean once you get here and redwoods before.

Hope this helped.

What a wonderful place. So many updates to the property, clean & quiet.awesome play area for kids, mini golf, giant chess & checkers! Pool & hot tub.which are always pristine! Dog area, cabins & tent camping, as well as RV spaces.amazing.
Management is excellent, such warm and welcoming people.and they have a store on site and can fill propane for you. Laundry facilities on site, as well as big restrooms with showers.you honestly don't have to leave if you don't want to.it's a lovely bubble.you can come in and forget the hubbub outside the park.
This place is a true gem.

Stayed here for a night. Loved it, super nice and quiet. Was able to relax and rest after a long week. Would definitely stay here again.

This is not a tourist friendly park! The front staff behavior is not welcoming, but rapidly got worse for us. No internet and poor phone service makes it very difficult to navigate an unfamiliar area. It is also hard to find slice phone service is spotty and GPS and maps don't load. They cater more to the full time residents, and while most are friendly some feel entitled to just start yelling at you if you make a mistake. My daughter drove through the park too fast and a lady walking her dog started yelling a tirade at her which included having us thrown out of the park. Given her behavior, she should not have been surprised when my daughter yelled back at her. Then the girl in the office came out yelling and told us to pack up and leave. Since we had paid for 2 nights, I went to the office for a refund and was told they would not give me my money back and threatened to call the police. I was able to speak with the manager who at first insisted we leave, but was able to see some reason, realized we were not leaving without a refund and agree to let us stay. After all, I had not yelled at anyone through all of that, and my daughter was not even staying with us. There was no way I was leaving and try to drive around and find another place when I had already paid. All in all a horrible situation that could have been avoided by training staff that just asking for a behavior change is usually all that is needed, and not instruct the long term people that policing other guests is not their job. Given that their first solution to a problem is to yell at you, throw you out and keep your money, I would not recommend staying here unless you are looking for a long term park that allows older modal RVs and are desperate for a place. The kids enjoyed the playground, but next time we come we will book ahead at the Emerald Forest in Trinidad or get a place at one of the State parks.

MAINTENANCE MAN STOLE OUR STUFF AND WE GOT BLAMED FOR IT! DO NOT STAY IF YOU ARE POC! Rented a spot here. Went to work right after paying for a spot left a few things so I didn’t need to waste time loading it all back in my motorhome since I’d be back got back and all my stuff was gone. The maintenance man had taken all our stuff and didn’t bring all our wood back. I go in the office to tell them we were missing 4 bundles of wood. We had about 6 and Ours was unwrapped and stacked he brought us two little bundles and told his boss that’s all we had. I told her no our wood wasn’t wrapped and we had way more. She basically said I was lying and that it was my fault for not going to tell the office I was leaving the property. I bet if I were a white woman that would’ve ended differently.

This place is so beautiful. Friendly staff. The basic cabins are nice and cozy. It's just a small vanity, a queen bed and a bunk bed but well worth the price. So much small stuff to do there too. There's big chess, big checkers, and a little mini golf area. There is laundry and showers available to campers. Highly recommend this place.

We have stayed 3 or 4 times this we use as a halfway stop most occasions because it's a convenience. I like having pool access hot tub. But this lack of no wifi no cable stinks. We would have thought they would have it all hooked up by now?
Our site wasn't clean as in cigarette butts and a fireplace full of half burnt logs. Wasn't sure were to stick that?
Rethinking future trips and places to stay.sad to see no maintenance this trip.

Passed through for two nights en route to another destination. Really good customer service (Jenna went above and beyond!) and cute looking campground. Nicely stocked store and the grounds are well-kept and clean. Don't expect Verizon service or WiFi here, otherwise, really good experience here.

It’s an okay place to stay. I wouldn’t want to spend more than 1 or 2 nights there. There were no bathrooms in our cabin. Some of the pictures online made it look like they had bathrooms inside, maybe some do. Our cabin, C-4 was right next to the dumping station and it smelled like waste.
