Lots of parking spots, land of woody wonders, and experienced people to help you make good decisions. Yes, they do work with contractors, but they are such a great and affordable resource for independent woodworkers. Seriously, nice and helpful guys ready for helping and advising, which is great for beginners, like me. Was recommended to me by my mentor and I don’t regret it! They have so many options with the ability to cut down to 8’ most of their stuff. And their other pieces are pretty usable, too!

Ive really tried to like this place, but out of the 5 times Ive been, it's been a hassle every time to get some help. On one of my trips I waited almost 45 mins to get 6 sheets of MDF. I inquired about some Hempwood and was told they would have it in a week, took my number and told me they would call me back. 3 weeks later I called and they said they had it in and had lost my number. I told them I would take all the rift sawn boards they had. When I arrived, it took them over a 1/2 hour just to ask what I needed, when I finally told someone what I was there for, he rolled his eyes and told me Id have to wait. When he finally had the time, he pulled a pallet of boards down and told me the rift sawn boards were probably on the bottom and walked away! So here I am digging through a pallet of rather heavy boards. As I was picking out what I could before getting frustrated and not wanting to make a mess on the floor, I could see the guys laughing at me and in Spanish one guy said "He knows he cant smoke it, right? " Well, that was it, I grabbed the 9 boards I had already picked out, (I was willing to buy a lot more) paid and left! I then went home and ordered a pallet direct from Hempwood, and have another pallet order Im working on. You guys lost a potentially good customer. I will not be going back for anything, and if anyone asks, I will not hesitate to tell them how rudely I was treated on more than one occasion and why I'll make the trip to Petemans's from now on.

This is a good place to go if you're looking for baseboard. They have a great selection and the customer service is very good!

I hope to never buy from here again. Two times I’ve gone to the Riverside shop and two times had to convince employees to help me out. I’m new to woodworking and my questions seem to annoy the employees. Ultimately they pushed me to buy the wood they wanted to sell me not the word I wanted to buy. Perhaps this place is acceptable for someone who knows what they want, but if you’re new to woodworking or want to have a conversation with someone, this is not the place for you. Employees spent more time on their phones and chatting with each other then helping me. The only reason they acknowledge my presence when I walked into the store was because I greeted them. Absolutely unacceptable experience that I hope to never have again.

They have every type of wood! It's clean and organized, and have great customer service. We went to three different places before we found what we needed here.

Super-friendly staff, awesome selection for fine woodworking, and jaw-dropping prices. Special thanks to Tim, who helped me out with explaining wood, pricing, etc (since it was my first time there). I’ll be back very soon to get more of that beautiful walnut!

Reel Lumber is amazing! They have so many different types of wood and the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are also great, especially for specialty or decorative pieces compared to home depot or lowes (if you can even find those woods there). I use them all the time for making decorative cutting boards, wind chimes, and the like. Highly recommended!
