Welll Brad, you were amazing and by Brad we mean Brian. All the way from Maui and you were a rockstar! We wakesurfed all day and he knew exactly how to get us up! Brian’s toe was healing and yet he handled the choppy waters so well the waves calmed down for us. Cheers! Had the best time!

Let me tell you, we all had a great time splish splashing around in that Lake Tahoe delicious blue water. We all wake surfed and had the best time! I highly suggest trying it even if you’ve never been wake surfing before, it’s a great time!

CHartered a boat for a half day and haven't had so much fun in years. The captain provided information that we didn't know even though we'd lived in the area. Tubing was a thrill but there was also quiet time in the middle of the lake to soak up sun and jump in for a swim. A trip to Lake Tahoe isn't complete without actually being on the lake!

This place is THE best spot to rent a boat on the lake. Ashley and Taylor are rockstars and always move quickly and efficiently to get us on the boat ASAP. We rent a few times a season from here and they always remember who we are. Won't go anywhere else!

Had the perfect day on the lake for a great price! Called the day before and was able to make a reservation easily.

Staff were friendly and great at communicating expectations. 4 hours went by so fast!

Ashley and Taylor helped us get an awesome pontoon for 12 people- great service that we will definitely use in the future.

We rented a boat for my bachelorette party - 8 people - and it was absolutely perfect! Brian was an excellent captain and made our day so much fun and was so kind and had great ideas for where to take us! Thanks Brian!

This was not a good place to go for boat renting because I went with my family and they were showing us the boat and how it works and the worker was not showing every piece of the boat and then at the end of the explanation of the boat he dropped the prop of the motor in the water and it already had a dent in it and then after we got back to the deck to leave they didn't even check the boat and just went up to us and just started arguing about how we Brooke the motor so I do not recommend this place.

On 07/12/20 my wife and I who are elderly, our daughter, son in law and 2 small grandchildren rented a boat from Rent-A-Boat Lake Tahoe (~$950). Two hours later the owner told us to get off his boat leaving us stranded 15 miles from our car.

How did this happen? When we got to the boat, the battery was dead and needed to be replaced (lost 1/2 hr). The briefing was not given to the primary driver who has a boat license because they did not take us all to the boat at the same time, and it was interrupted by battery replacement. After tubing for 1 1/2 hrs, we stopped at the Tahoe City marina to go to the bathroom. Without a warning we were notified by marina personnel that Rent-A-Boat had called them and was coming to TAKE the boat back. They had three phone number but did not call to notify us of any issue (Written policy we signed). We called the owner to resolve it calmly. There must be a misunderstanding. He was angry rude and used vulgar language. During the "briefing", we asked about food and the staff told us some places to go, but they were not clear there was a significant issue with using the marina! When they arrived to take the boat, I requested a ride for one person back to the car. The owner of Rent-a-Boat was called and he refused. We are all professional, respectful people who would never do anything we were not supposed to intentionally.

We had a great experience with Rent A Boat in Tahoe this weekend. Unfortunately our boat rental from another business was cancelled last minute but we feel very fortunate that we came across Rent A Boat. Zach was our captain and he showed us some great spots along the water and was a lot of fun! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely use them again in the future! We reserved a boat for Sunday morning on Labor Day weekend. We planned the whole weekend around this activity. We woke up early got ready, and on our way to the marina we get a call saying the boat we reserved won’t start and of course all the other boats are booked. They didn’t offer us any other options to try and find us a boat another day or to get a mechanic to work on it and call us as soon it’s fixed. Nothing. Our group of 8 was extremely disappointed. Reserve a boat here at your own risk.

I visited Lake Tahoe mid August 2020 & my experience with Rent A Boat Lake Tahoe was great from start to finish. Booked online (no hassle, no bs, transparent contractual agreement) showed up at scheduled time, was given a brief instruction/class of how to operate the boat and the rest was pretty self explanatory. Staff at the sites, are young energetic, respectful, professional and very laid back (my kind of peeps). My girlfriend and I had an awesome time. Words can’t describe the joy, fun & experience we shared in some of the most beautiful parts of the lake like Emerald Bay, Secret Cove, Commons Beach, Chimney Beach ect ect. You’ll only truly visit Lake Tahoe if you rent a boat and hit the water and if your as lucky as we were & your experience with Rent A Boat Lake Tahoe was as amazing as ours. That’s something that money can’t buy.
