Mexican Restaurant Reposado reviews
15 A really nicely laid out venue with lovely, helpful staff. Missing out on the final star as for the price, there were some disappointments with the dish for me (over cooked rice) and the mismatch between the digital and physical menus caused some confusion.
There were also limited vegetarian appetizers, which is a bit of a disappointment, especially with mexican cuisine usually being very accommodating. In my native London it would be a 5* venue, but with the tough competition around the area I'd hope to see the small improvements in the future to boost up to that final star.
Excellent service.
Cocktails are fantastic.
Appetizers great.
Ordered vegan cauliflower entree which was bland and not tasty. Don't order vegan food but the rest of the items on the menu are great.
Also $$$; based on location and ambiance!
Reposado is an upscale Mexican restaurant. I went for dinner with friends a few weeks ago. We shared the chips and salsa which were tasty. I also got the Crepas Con Mariscos. The portion size was generous, but I didn’t enjoy the accompanying rice. One of my friends got the Chile Poblano and said it was very good.
Inside the restaurant is really nice. We opted to sit outside (COVID times). Reposado indicated they had outdoor dining when we made our reservation, but I don’t really think they do? It felt like they took a table and put it outside for us (which I appreciated). However, it was in a kind of awkward spot (right on the sidewalk next to the closed mattress store next door).
Horrible experience. Walked in for a drink. Clearly online says they close at 9: 30pm. But upon walking in they told me they closed at 9: 00pm and then the other person standing behind bar said 9: 15pm. So just off the first impression I would eat at many of the other notable restaurants around the area like San Agus or nobu before wasting time here.
I must say this place has the best Cadillac Margarita that I have ever had. (that I didn’t make of course). Our server was really nice and prompt when we needed her. Everything was brought to us accurately. My husband enjoyed the vegetarian Chili Poblano it was delish. I had the Costilla de res en adobo. It touched many flavors that I love so it was perfect. For the dessert we had a hard time deciding between a dessert in house or to walk University Street for Ice cream. We ordered the Platano Enmielado for dessert with caramel ice cream, we are so glad we made this decision it was outstanding.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place where you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Everything is made in house as far as I know. Very very tasty.
Our group of 14 (max size) occupied the Chef Table. They demanded a $2000 minimum, which (apparently stated in fine print in contract) is only for food & drinks. Since food didn't even reach $1500, this "deal" clearly was designed to force abundant consumption of alcohol. Place was way too loud to accommodate group dialog, so you must be content with small group conversations yelled at the top of your lungs. Food was good as exoected.
Had an amazing experience there. Very good food and better attention. I am not familiar with the area just wanted to eat on my way from Silicon Valley to SFO. It was a very intense Mexican flavor.
Really enjoyed this spot. Chips and guacamole was super tasty. I had the Chile Poblano, which was delicious. Good service and not too expensive. Great Mexican food restaurant all-around.
The portions are so small compared to the price.
We (2 people) ordered an appetizer and a main course (we usually do) and literally we were not feeling even a little bit full.
By the way the appetizer (some kind of turnover with shrimp) was really good.
I didn’t like our main course because it had a specific kind of spice in it which was not my favorite.
They even don’t have tortillas for free for each table (which a lot of Mexican restaurants do)
As we calculated They collect nearly 11.5% tax that is too much as well.
Im not sure if I will come back again!
Was visiting from Atlanta. I visited here before my move to Atlanta and the food was decent then. But this time not do much. Very bland. Sparse helpings. And this is California
Terrible customer service. Just pure rude. So yeah, no thanks. There’s so many restaurants in the area, nothing special here other than their bad service.
The food was extremely small proportions for the price it was not worth it the only good thing was the empanadas. Everything was extremely spicy as though they were trying to hide that the food left flavor. The presentation was beautiful but the food was pretty much just that beautiful. The server what is easily distracted and forgot to put our order in. Didn’t wait until I was finished ordering and walked away never checked on us other people came and he came back with the bill and that was it. I have no desire to eat here ever again. Not to mention the price for something that didn’t even fill us up.
We came in after a phone appointment. The manager told us to come in by 6: 00 and be ready to leave before 7: 00. Came in at 6: 00 to find that the manager and general manager having a conflict. The manager was apologetic but the general manager was outright rude even when told we are regulars.
Enjoyed our dinner here, luckily we got a table arranged by the gentleman at the reception. Service was great, good was delicious, ambience and vibe was great
Good food, drinks, and service. But usually overpriced, and their happy hour is somewhat limited, but it's worth it. Atmosphere is great.
