Concierge service makes up for the okay room. As someone who travels a lot, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a hotel since 2015 (over 8 years ago) that has this antiquated TV. I’ve stayed in Marriots, even Laquinta’s and they have still have some degree of up to date television and smart tv where guests can stream via Apple device or even Google chrome cast. This place has neither, and the few apps they DO have are super random. I wouldn’t particularly recommend this location as very simple amenities many other hotels generally have, they don’t and I can’t understand why. I don’t think there’s much focus on practicality or realism in terms of what guests want or would frequently use here. It’s just a 2/5 for me. Hopefully, someone does a walk through periodically and takes note for quality control purposes to ensure the amenities are easily accessible and comparable to their competitors?

Friendly staff, nice rooms. Park and then check in. Put ticket inside vehicle. Expensive to park but it's adjoining lot. Breakfast plentiful but nothing freshly made.

The two-bedroom suites are great! Very spacious and clean. Kitchen works well for leftovers, breakfasts, etc. Good location. Parking leaves a little to be desired in a tight adjacent garage that doesn't feel super safe, but I've stayed here twice without issue.

The reason why it was poor, the first room I went to the bathroom was not clean thoroughly. I went and asked for a second room which was clean except the both rooms smelled like Frabreeze. It was in the sheets on the pillows, too overwhelming for me to sleep.

This is my favorite hotel in Sacramento!

Every member of the staff are warm, smiling and friendly.

The lobby, hotel grounds and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Lovely views of the Fall foliage, pool/hot tub, and Capital Park.

Walking distance to the Safe Credit Union venue, many restaurants like Cafeteria 15l, Tequila Museo Mayahuel, Cafe Bernardo, Zocolo and Juju with the nice bartenders and drinks/food right in the lobby 4-10pm. Also can walk to Grocery Outlet, CVS and Target.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 month. Terrible services. I had to call to get housekeeping services despite the fact that I scheduled for my cleaning days. The front desk people are very rude. When housekeeping responded to clean they were actually very kind, understanding and courteous.

Please don't stay here! The worst place to stay. I initially wanted to stay here long but after 1 night I couldn't wait to leave the hotel.

The lobby and the elevators smelt like armpits. The entrance for check in was super inconvenient. You'll have to block traffic just to go inside and check in. It took me about 20 minutes till I got to park my car at the back entrance and check in. Although the staff was nice, they seemed like they didn't know what they ere talking about because they couldn't answer most of my questions.

The parking location was super inconvenient too. Too far to walk, didn't feel safe, overpriced and not safe to walk at times.

The rooms are way overpriced. It was clean but not like what the pictures show.

The breakfast was so greasy, small and the options were not great.

The staff is great but that is the only thing good about this place. Its easy to tell that the hotel is super understaffed and the current staff is working too hard.

Please don't stay here. Spend a little more and stay in Embassy Suites or Hyatt Centric. Way better facilities and safer too.

Do not stay here if you want to be treated fairly by staff. You can read the owners responses to most of these reviews and see that there is a lack of accountability. There are better options available!

First three days of my stay were amazing. Everyone was friendly and inviting. Last day of my stay around 10: 30am my key wouldn’t unlock my door. Went down to the first desk and let him know my key didn’t work. Provided my full name, telephone number on the reservation. The assistant manager then asked for my email address, I provided the info. He then ask when I checked In. I proceeded to tell him my checkin date. By this time I’ve become defensive because I’ve never been treated this way at a Marriott. The assistant manager then asks me 3 more times are you sure you have I’d upstairs. He asked the housekeeper to then escort me upstairs and verify my id. I took the key from the housekeeper and told him I’ll bring the id downstairs so that he himself could verify it. Horrible way to profile guest and make them feel unwelcomed.

I stayed here for 12 nights on a business trip and while the location was great, the lack of service definitely leaves you feeling short changed. At check-in we were told they no longer do daily housekeeping and that we would have one cleaning scheduled for the 12 nights we were there. It's such a hassle to call and wait for clean towels, trash to be taken out, or something as simple as getting a new roll of toilet paper. Breakfast was one of the better ones I've had at hotels, but unfortunately it was not without the need for attention. Breakfast was advertised to start at 6: 30 but there wasn't a single instance of them being ready at that time during my stay. And the breakfast staff act irritable that we dared show up at 6: 30. It was pretty uncomfortable but unfortunately I had little choice as I had to be at the office at 7am. The front desk staff were always amazing so no complaints there. However, my future business will be going elsewhere on return trips to the area. Sick of hearing the COVID excuses for lack of services provided.

Good location, great staff, nicely appointed rooms, pleasant food, non smoking hotel. < downside people smoke right outside the entrance and a woman was smoking by the pool every day I was there, she in particular ignored the nonsmoking reminder notice and commented she knew about it. There are cameras I hope they address the smoking concerns

I'm almost titanium elite because I mainly stay with Hilton. Had my do not disturb sign out trying to rest after an awful night shift. For some reason the housekeeping doesn't understand the "do not disturb" sign and knocked non stop and then tried to open my door and come in. Housekeeping was not needed and discussed waiting until checkout.

Room is great, trying to get rest is obvious not going to happen.

Too bad this is the second time my privacy is violated here.

It was surprisingly well kept, amazing service and a perfect place to fall back too if your in town for a concert or something. If your willing to pay more for comfort and gratitude, this is the place.

I've stayed at the Marriott several times and recommended it to my girls for a girls night. Normally we have great a great experience but the extremely poor service the front desk receptionist gave us along with another couple we met on the elevator last night made me question the standard of service they are now offering.

Rooms are newly renovated and update to date. Very roomy. Full suite with mini kitchen with a stove, sink, dishwasher, full size fridge and utensils. Close to restaurants and can easily walk to. Front desk was really helpful in getting me a room for early checking in, due to I have to attend a wedding that evening. Very welcoming, I appreciate it alot and recommend this place.

Great service. Over and above. We came in super early with a large group of students. While under construction they still worked super hard to get us two rooms available so the kids could change. Seriously appreciate the helpful attitude! Love our room too!
