Restaurant Rich Crab reviews
14 I recommend the soy sauce marinated crab and the seafood stew!
There is a lot orange goodness and the soy sauce is perfection:) Ordering a crab will come with a lotta side dishes and rice! Really love the kind restaurant servers too <333
After 2 years I finally made it back to Rich Crab and I have to say I'm disappointed. We ordered the combo B size S since it's for 2 people and we thought they were going to have 2 soy marinated crab which is what we came for. But it's actually just 1 small soy marinated crab and 1 small spicy marinated crab. The rest of their food is mediocre and the main reason we came is for the soy marinated crab. However, the crab in the combo was tiny, it wasn't even the crab they used to have (which they said it's imported from Korea). The waitress told us that if we ordered the crab a la carte, those crabs would be bigger and the one in the combo was the smaller crab. Well if I had known, I would've ordered a la carte because everything in their combo sucks. The soup is bad and the spicy marinated crab just tasted like spicy sauce. We even paid extra money to upgrade the kimchi pancake to seafood pancake and it was super doughy with no seafood. Probably could've made it better myself at home. It was not worth the price tag we paid for and sadly I don't think I'II be coming back.
BEST soy sauce crab and monkfish stir fry in LA! The owner and her daughter are so nice and incredibly welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is VERY clean! They close on Tuesdays though!
간장게장 1등! 아귀찜도 JMT (미더덕 없음).
The marinated crab taste good and I really like the side dishes. However, my boyfriend got stomach upset after trying the crab.even a little bit diarrhea…and the crab is a little bit expensive…
The best soy sauce crab stew, the best crab stew. It's not spicy and it's really delicious!
I really like this Korean pickled crab A very traditional Korean restaurant, run by a pair of very friendly Korean grandparents, the service is very good! It gives you a feeling of being at homeI prefer the spicy pickled crab, the jelly has a soft and glutinous textureThe pork belly wrapped in vegetables is also delicious! Monkfish is delicious too! Delicious
Started our night at Soban nearby and after being rushed to order and reminded every minute that the kitchen closes at 8pm while the restaurant closes at 9pm, we left Soban not wanting to feel rushed while ordering and eating.
Ended up at Rich Crab and the (assumed) married couple and additional waitress were welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to eat until 9: 45pm even though they closed at 9: 30, then bid us farewell with smiles and waves when we exited the restaurant. Last but not least THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! Worth the price and will always come back when I visit LA.
A traditional Korean restaurant with friendly service. The soy sauce crab is really good but a bit expensive.
Came here and was shocked at how fresh the crab was! They told us it was imported from Korea. It was heaven in my mouth. When we arrived it was at a weird time at 3 so there was no one but when it got super busy we still got excellent service. Will definitely come back thank you so much!
Soy Crab. I really enjoyed it.
As the name of the store suggests, it was a well-made crab.
It's fresh and full of eggs.
I can't go often because it's expensive, but I will come back again.
Tasting raw meat of crab with fish smell wasn't that pleasant experience. I guess they were put out too early for customers. Overall, it's not too bad. But nothing to rave about in my opinion.
This is a hole in the wall, no-nonsense type of Korean restaurant and they really perfected their craft. I consider myself a gejang specialist and I've been to the best of the best in Seoul, LA, New York and New Jersey, and I think this place is the best in the US! The crabs are from Korea (I asked the owner) and imported in. The marinade flavor is a perfect blend of herbs and brine and is not salty like other places. It's really spectacular. The soup is really good too and starts off a little mild and bland but as it cooks down it becomes perfect. As for price (maybe I'm biased because everything is high priced in NYC) I thought this was well priced and reflective of the quality, craft and flavor, especially knowing the crabs are from Korea. I wish they had this place in the east coast.
This place has the best raw crab! The soy sauce marinated and spicy marinated raw crab is so much better than any other places in Koreatown!
The service is a bit slow but the food here is SO GOOD. I would definitely come back here just to eat the soy sauce marinated crab or the spicy crab stew. When I went my friend and I got the 2-3 person combo of “kimchi pancake + spicy raw crab + soy sauce marinated crab + spicy crab soup” and it was so much good. We barely finished it between the two of us. I think the price point is good for the amount you get and would definitely recommend it.
