I have been with "Uncles" at least a couple if not more years before they went public. I knew things were going to go South but couldn't get my money out not even my required RMD for the year since everything was put on hold until after the REIT went public. Within days I saw $84K drop to $25. That was several years ago and since I get monthly dividends it's now about $30 but 10 years ago I invested $50K They had a great thing going but as soon as COVID hit things went south and our stock was cut in half
