Richmond Ferry Terminal reviews
19Usually pretty nice at the ferry terminal but lately a few vans with people living in them have moved in. I was waiting in my car for the first ferry and one of these guys came up and tried to get into my car. I don’t see enough security patrols here.
I really appreciate this location for a ferry.usually hadto go to Oakland to take the ferry.this is so much better and the staff are all very friendly and itclean and a clean new ferry and a big plus is to be able to use clipper card
Lovely experience! One of the easiest and most beautiful ways to get tot he city. We went on Saturday morning for the farmers market and enjoy all the shops at Ferry building. Easy free big parking lot! The sunset on the way back was phenomenal! What a wonderful gem is Richmond Ferry!
Clean, tons of parking, easy access for all. One of the most stunning views in the entire bay area.
Great atmosphere great place to go fishing and if you want to catch a ferry ride that's also there too.
Beautiful place lots of lovely views and ferry service from Richmond to San francisco is great. You can buy tickets on board of ferry or use your clipper card.
The Ferry snack bar is once again at full speed, with a full bar! (Sept. 2022)
Lots of free parking. Covered entrance. No amenities.
I like to walk my dog there at night. I feel safe and it is a good after dinner short walk.
Plenty of parking. Part of the bay trail.
Nice ferry with friendly and helpful crew. They left without me when I showed up late, but I'm magnanimously not docking them any stars for it.
First time here to catch the Ferry to SF at Pier one. Fast, easy trip, great views, friendly staff and of course the free parking is an amazing incentive.
I honestly don’t think I’ll ever take Bart again to the city. There’s so much room, great views, indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff. This is the way to go! If you live in Richmond, it’s easy to take the new Richmond Moves shuttle and get dropped off right at the ferry terminal and picked up there as well.
Highlights:
- Free Parking
- Modern port with some nice artwork out front
- Clean
- Safe area
Really enjoy this ferry terminal since it's easy to get to and parking is free compared to Larkspur.
Getting on the ferry is easy, but there is NOT a Clipper Card machine located on premise. To buy a ticket you must do that on the boat itself which is interesting.
What a great way to get to Marina Bay from San Francisco. The ride either direction is always pleasant and it is so nice to have the Ferry right in Marina Bay, Richmond.
As a regular every day commuter, I have been taking the ferry from Richmond to SF for the last year and I have nothing but great things to say about each and every crew member that I have come across. Everyone welcomes you with a “good morning” “have a great day” “happy Friday” etc. They are all smiles and care about the safety of passengers. I unfortunately lost a pair of keys and when I mentioned it to the crew they went above and beyond, as well as the dispatcher that would call me with updates or asking for details. Luckily the following day a crew member recognized me and asked if I was missing a pair of keys and were safely returned! I can’t help but thank everyone not only for finding my lost items but always going above and beyond for their passengers as well as always making passengers feel comfortable and safe! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I recommend the ferry to everyone and anyone!
Very modern and sleek ferry terminal next to the Craneway pavilion. Lots of nearby parking too.
Absolutely the nicest way to get from Richmond to San Francisco. Café in the old Ford building makes for a lovely place to wait for the ferry.
Plenty of free parking. Take your bike onboard. Discount for seniors, students. Scenic location, arrives at Embarcadero (shopping, BART, busses, etc… a fast, pleasant, practical way to cross the bay!
Though distinguished with a spare but stylishly design, the terminal is basically a glorified gangplank along which passengers traverse, scan their Clipper cards or other electronic payment then board the ferry. (Tickets can also be purchased aboard the boat.)
There is an ample covered area within the entrance doors offerring shelter from inclement weather for anyone awaiting the next departure.
Watch out for your car! Don't leave anything of value in your car here and beware if you are parking a rental car - thieves will break windows just to see what's inside if they see its a rental. Learned the hard way, as did several others in my group who were at the Craneway pavilion April 2022.
