Rico's Mexican Food reviews
11This place was absolutely amazing! The food was so tasty and the service I received from Diogo made this experience even better. I highly recommend trying this spot for some authentic Mexican food.
Visiting the area. Conveniently located downtown Portola. Truly authentic as advertised. Best chicken enchiladas verdes ever! Fast and friendly service. Thanks Rico’s!
Had they're super burrito, excellent blend of taste to make the meal nothing less then super. Definitely worth a stop when passing through town.
The street tacos are really good. They make excellent carnitas! The service is fast and friendly and the music is great.
Answered the phone and said closed? Closed at 5pm on a Saturday? Small town restaurants need to understand that no matter how good your food is, if you aren't open for customers it doesn't matter how good it is.
For it not being Arizona Mexican food it was pretty good. Because I’m from Arizona I’m pretty picky on quality of the taste. Definitely would eat there again.
My new favorite place for Mexican food! The salsa was delicious and was not blended (kills the flavor in my opinion), the shrimp tacos were THE BEST I ever had, and the rice and beans were awesome too. It was super busy at noon and the waitress still managed to be super fast and extremely friendly Highly recommend!
First off…. The restaurant was clean, windows clean, bathroom clean!
Salsa was fresh, chunky, home made, chips were good, fresh and crunchy.
I ordered lunch, Chili Verde. It was ok, the meat wasn’t soft and succulent. It was obviously cooked ahead of time as you could tell by how dark the meat had oxidized on the outside. The verde sauce was pretty basic. Rice and beans pretty basic. The tortillas were great, hot and tender. My wife ordered the chicken tamale plate, again pretty basic. The waitress was quick and efficient. Overall an unmemorable culinary experience. But it gets the job done if you’re hungry.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere, exceptional service and even better food. I feel it was an excellent value that I would have expected to pay much more for what I experienced.
We enjoyed our lunch. Carne asada and chile verde tacos. Extra cost for additional chips and salsa. Chile Relleno burritos are good. Great food but not anything spectacular.
