Rio Acai Bowls

Prices have raised significantly. Used to be 6.50 for a small powerhouse, now it’s $9+. And the medium powerhouse no longer 7.50 it’s $11+. Been coming here since they opened. Kinda ridiculous

I was excited to hear that Madera was getting a Rio Açaí since I love Fresno’s location. However after my first visit here I will not be returning. First, I ordered a large but honestly for the amount of açaí they gave me it could’ve passed for a medium. Fresno’s location gives you way more than this place. Second, I got waay too much granola. It’s called an açaí bowl not a granola bowl. And third, it’s too small inside. Overall, I’m really disappointed. I will be continuing to take my business to the Fresno location.

My bowl was interesting- it’s the first acai bowl I have had that was not blended. The protein powder was on top with the granola and fruit. After I mixed it all up, it tasted good. I had a medium Powerhouse bowl. It was $10, a pretty good price.

I decided to stop by for breakfast one morning unsure of what to expect and order (first time customer), and I was very impressed with how warm and inviting it was inside. One of the workers, a short pretty girl with a pony tail with a blond stripe in her hair, kindly greeted me with a smile and asked what I wanted to order. After a few suggestions from the sweet girl I decided to order the “powerhouse”. By far the best service and açaí bowl I’ve ever had!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I’ve tried other locations that have Acai bowls & they don’t compare to Rio! Great customer service & delicious Acai! The PowerHouse Acai bowl is my personal favorite. 100% recommend! Glad to have Rio Acai in Madera!

The acai is good and employees are friendly however the large acai bowl is not filled up all the way, sometimes it is but for the price I pay I expect a full bowl. Second photo is a comparison of the acai bowls purchased on different ocations. I don't expect extra. I expect a full serving when paying for a full serving.

It’s so delicious recommend coming. I would go to Fresno before just to get a açaí bowl but now there’s one in Madera more convenient.

This review is for POKE only. I would definitely not recommend getting the poke bowl here. The rice is not sushi rice, it's just really warm white rice with cold ahi stuck on top. With dried seaweed sheets laid over the top with Sriracha mayo. You can add more toppings but at $1 a piece I decided to try it how it comes. It was a pretty big disappointment. I was hopeful that I could avoid having to drive to Fresno every time I wanted poke, but unfortunately this does not do the trick.

So delicious! I’m glad madera finally has an acai place, 10/10 will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Great place to stop by and grab lunch or that breakfast acai bowl you are looking for. As you can see it gets busy. Just opened and it's great.
