Italian Restaurant Ristobar reviews
14 If you're searching for a slice of Italy in San Francisco, Risto Bar is the place to be. The margherita pizza is nothing short of phenomenal - with the perfect combination of tangy tomato sauce, melty mozzarella cheese, and a crispy crust that's simply divine. One bite and you'll be transported straight to Naples.
But the culinary excellence doesn't stop there. Risto Bar's drinks are equally as impressive as their pizza. I can't recommend the amaretto sour and the Risto margarita enough - both are expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. Trust me, you won't find better cocktails in the city.
And the service? It's second to none. The bartender June is a true gem, with an infectious personality and a wealth of knowledge about the menu. She's passionate about her craft and it shows in every drink she makes. Not to mention, her customer service skills are impeccable - she made our visit to Risto Bar a truly unforgettable experience.
In short, if you're looking for a restaurant that has it all - fantastic food, amazing drinks, and exceptional service - Risto Bar is the place to be. And when you go, be sure to try the margherita pizza and say hello to June for me. You won't be disappointed.
If you're looking for a great dining experience in San Francisco, Ristobar is the place to be! The restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere is complemented by the delicious Italian cuisine and exceptional service. The standout star is Tony the bartender, who not only serves up some of the best cocktails in the city, but also offers top-notch service with a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor.
During my recent visit, Tony recommended some amazing cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal, and he even took the time to chat with us about the different ingredients and flavors. His attention to detail and expertise really shone through in every drink he made, and it was clear that he truly cared about making sure we had a great experience.
Of course, the food at Ristobar is also top-notch. The Gnocchi Bolognese dish was a standout for me, with perfectly cooked gnocchi and a rich, flavorful sauce. But no matter what you order, you're sure to enjoy the delicious Italian cuisine and exceptional service at Ristobar. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in San Francisco.
What a wonderful dining experience, staff wonderful attentive and on top of it all, the desert is amazing tried 2
Nice bar and amazing staff. Tony was above and beyond. We didn't have food since the kitchen was closed, but we would definitely come back. That watermelon cocktail was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended whenever you are in Marina district.
Came for dinner. Very delightful restaurant with pleasant staff and atmosphere. The food was good and I want to highlight teramisu - I thought it was really amazing.
I didn't take any points off, but I do have some suggestions for the restaurant. The menu is impossible to read due to the unfortunate choice of font. I had to use my phone camera to zoom in. It wasn't the size of the font. It was the type.
The total bill wasn't small ($50 per person), but somehow, I still walked away slightly hungry.
Advice to other patrons: don't skip appetizers. Pomegranate margarita is really good, only too small as the ice cube took the whole glass.
We wanted to take the family somewhere nice but low-key on New Year's day, and Ristobar did not disappoint. First, they were amazingly accommodating with the reservations - especially since we had to shift times, and the number of people in our party (and then accidentally showed up nearly thirty minutes early).
Mattea was an absolute gem, and had us seated in less than five minutes from our arrival. He was chatty and cheerful, made excellent recommendations and tasteful jokes, and even made sure we had a beautiful champagne toast, for good luck. The service was top-notch - everyone was incredibly helpful and kind, without being overly fussy or formal. Everyone felt very at-home, and we had a great time.
The food is simple, fresh, and well-seasoned and prepared with true-to-origin Italian recipes. Everything we ordered was lovely, and even the picky eaters were happy. Nothing was overly elaborate or garnished - just presented beautifully and with good taste. We highly recommend the sea bass, as well as the pasta vongole e gamberi - but everything was good, and tasted like a freshly homecooked meal. The desserts were absolutely to-die for (especially the tiramisu!).
We all left excited to return, which is a real feat. Thanks for making this such a great experience! We're excited to visit again.
If I could I will put zero stars! Shocking, terrible service, we were treated really disgustingly, the waiters cursed us, we waited two and a half hours for our dishes and what arrived was disgusting food
Shocking! Terrible service! Horrible place! Horrible food! Do not go near this place! The manager there is a repulsive and rude man, please don't come to this place!
Didn’t enjoy the food at all! The food is the worst that I ate. Don’t understand how they still open. The food and service were the worst! Please do yourself a favour, and don’t go
It's like a slice of Italy in SF! The atmosphere is super classy and elegant, yet also accessible. The pasta dishes are fresh and filling. They also have a full bar and a fantastic wine selection!
Delicious and authentic pasta and protein dishes with a large selection of cocktails and wine to accompany them.
This has been a neighborhood favorite of mine for years. Friendly staff, amazing food, outstanding drinks and great atmosphere! If you come here make sure you order the seafood spaghetti and a Negroni on the side!
My biggest mistake was getting to this place. We arrived 12 people, and left the place disappointed, we did not receive our food, the waiter was not helpful, the food was grossly repulsive. I wish it was possible to close the place to them
Please everyone who sees this post, do not approach this shocking restaurant! The worst food I've ever eaten, it didn't arrive on time, the service of the waiters and the manager was simply shocking. We almost called the police for what they did to us. Please guys don't come to this restaurant
