Calamari appetizer is delicious! One of the best I’ve had anywhere! Everything we ordered was outstanding and the lemon drop cocktail was the best. The owners are doing an amazing job!

Hamachi cheek for dinner. It came with soup, rice and broccoli. Food was good 7/10.

The Food was possibly the worse Japanese food I have ever had in my life, each successive dish was worse than the previous one and we literally wanted to leave as the sushi rolls were served. Stale, bland and absolutely a miserable gastronomic experience!

I've enjoyed Robata before, however under the new management, it seems to be thriving. Comfortable seating, calm atmosphere and our wait staff was top notch. She was good humored helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone connected to the restaurant that came our table was quite lovely and eager to help. The food, was extraordinary, and I'm not an idle flattered. My companion got selected sushi, miso and house salad while opted for teriyaki Fillet minion and chicken which was extraordinary. Tender, cooked as requested with a ball of barbecue rice. Definitely go for the BBQ rice option! Best miso soup on the Peninsula! Definitely treat yourself.

Best sushi restaurant in Carmel! Food is fantastic and service is second to none! Well done chefs! Love the team, most have been there for over a decade! Toshi is the best bartender in Carmel, Beto and Motoko are fantastic servers, they both take such good care of us, always with a smile, we feel right at home. It is under new ownership, Josie and Josiah are extremely welcoming. We are very excited to see what they do next.
