Robie Point reviews
16Nice little hike! Kind of a bummer that you can’t really see much at the “point”, but I’ll be doing it again.
Perfect trail for a short (2.5 mile) hike from Murphy's gate on highway 49. Lots of blackberries, wildflowers, views of the river. Robie point itself is a fun detour to check out the ruins of an old house. Stone walls, overgrown bushes, crumbling foundation. Worth the short walk to the ruins once you get to the end of Robie point drive at the high point of the hike.
This place is garbage! Don't go! If you like ticks and complete sun. There is no outlet to river!
Nice walks through the trees, a peak at the mountains and some views of the river. The trail is unpaved but you don't have to worry about stumbling over too many rocks in the path either. There are lots of side trails and some change in elevation but nothing really steep. There's a mix of sun and shade, but expect to be in the sun a lot.
It's beautiful. But now it's dark and I'm stuck at the bottom of the trail. For reals. Don't trip it was planned. Night in nature with myself for company.
It's ok for me to love me.
Be careful driving to this place as the road is steep and narrow much like some of the trails. Great views in multiple directions!
Parking can be tough on busy days. Please respect the people who live here and do not park in front of gates, driveways, or block traffic. The trails that begin here all initially travel downhill towards the river, so understand the return up the hill is necessary. Short and long trails present.
Nice ruins I didn't know about until I got there. No views because of the over-grown trees, unless you climb one and see the valley below.
This was a pretty easy hike, with a moderate incline towards Robbie Point. Beautiful scenery, teaching moments with the railroad bridge and rr trellises.
Robie Point has amazing, quite spots to tuck away in for some peace, but it's also a great starting point for the committed hiker/runner. It's not the very top, but it's a climb back to the parking from any direction. Get ready to feel that burn!
Excellent Trail. Semi shaded. There is a small path that leads to the river access. For those who take the path, you can get to a wonderful spot on the river bed. Very nice.
Best canyon hike. You can walk there from the Auburn Dam overlook. Robie point just gets you closer. Before gates I rode my my motorcycle all over. I lived in the last house down that road
Directions were a bit off, really just a gravel lot on the side of the road. Nice trails, great views. Would go again as it has several points to start at.
This is the best trailhead for hiking in the county, definitely would recommend to a friend. Also a great place to get lit af yo.
Lots of trails available all around this trail for multiple activities good views worth the hike up.
Beautiful spot to hike or job, beautiful views up and down the trail. The fire break maintenance has been well done and fast
