Restaurant RockSeas reviews
12My wife and I ate there tonight. Great food and nice couple running the place. Would very much go back again. They actually raised the two meat dishes we had to night. Amazing.
We dined on a Sunday night where there was a couple ending their meal when we walked in. It was a slow night and it had rained that afternoon. We could choose any seat. The wine list features local wineries (wide range of price per glass). The entrees were on the pricey side (value for money). We inquired whether the peaches were still fresh “in season” for the salad. They answered “yes” We should have followed our gut as the peach felt past its prime as a salad ingredient but probably great for a dessert. The asparagus was tasty but a little sad in its appearance. The scallop entree was great except for the watery quinoa. The spicy mussels (not pictured here) were tasty. The flourless chocolate cake dessert was also good. Overall the food was a 3.5 star rating. The cool wood tables and tile mosaics give this cottage-like venue an eclectic vibe. I’m rooting for this local restaurant. Hopefully there are more patrons to maintain sourcing great produce.
Brussels sprouts are a must have!
Everything is good though.
Great local place run by a local family. Worth stopping in for for sure!
I'm so confused.this place seems to be doubling as a daycare? Two shrieking children are here and appear to be the children of one of the servers. The other server is wearing a child on her back, and there are multiple large toy things in the way.
In addition to that bizzareness, the food is bad. The burger seems to be a pre frozen patty, no flavor. The shrimp and grits are a tiny portion of four shrimp with a sliver of grits cake. The grits are the only decent part. The shrimp is very over cooked, as well as some dry little fish cake of some kind. How this place is so highly rated is beyond me. It's awful. After receiving the food we've been ignored and I think it's because they know how uncomfortable this situation is.
Delightfully designed restaurant featuring custom mosaics and woodwork by the chef and owner. The menu was distinct and featured a blend of styles and flavors with seeming inspiration from Sourhern comfort food and Farm fresh northern California ingredients. We we're totally satiated with everything we ordered from the bright and delicious cocktails, to the tasty entrees, decadent chocolate torte and the locally sourced port to finish off our meal. The fried grits are something unique, try them!
This used to be a very well respected dining spot pre pandemic. After they reopened the food has suffered. I loved the service. Super sweet and attentive. I also love the fact they raise their own animals. But the food was not up to par (like in quite a few eateries in town).
I hope the owner will pull through and get back to former glory.
Please do not drink the house wine if it is MILANO. It is bad. However, if you actually don’t mind the uncontrolled fermentation in their bottles, then you can go down the street and buy it for $1.50 a bottle at the winery.
The food was amazing. The service, the atmosphere, the quality.absolutely perfect. I should warn you, not having dinner here would be a very bad idea. Don't forget dessert. And to appreciate the art.
Perfect dinner for the Angelenos coming back from camping up north! Perfectly-cooked steak frites, delicious sides, excellent drinks, awesome local wines, amazing owners, comfortable vibes… 11 out of 10!
We love this place. The food and flavors are top noch. They are family run husband and wife team juggling their baby and putting out incredible food!
So happy to support this business and highly recommend the food!
Mama’s fried chicken, Black angus burger, tiger shrimp and lamb, appetizers and desserts, EVERYTHING was just AMAZING! Highly recommended!
This surprised my expectations by a mile. I live multiple hours away and _will_ be go out of my way to come back.
