I went there today for lunch with my friend, we stopped because their patio looked beautiful and cosy.
We were welcomed by Francesco who was really nice and professional.

We ordered their prosciutto, burrata, and pesto pizza, their mushroom ravioli pasta, and their tiramisu.it was so flavorful and delicious

Thank you so much for this wonderful meal!

Roma Antica was hurtful to me and my friends.
After our meal, I flagged down the waiter and explained that we wanted to split the bill. We then sat around for 20 minutes and watched as our waiter helped every other table except ours. Keep in mind that we only wanted the bill.
We got a little annoyed so we went to ask the host for the bill. The bill we get isn't ours, though, so we send it back.
Another 15 minutes goes by and we still don't have the bill. The restaurant seemingly goes back to normal. It's 10: 30 pm.
Now, completely fed up, we go and demand the bill. Somehow, this was enough to get some actual help. The restaurant starts acting very apologetic and offers free desserts.
I'm unable to appreciate this because we were ignored by the staff after multiple attempts to acquire help. I left feeling really sad.

We happened upon Roma Antica while in the Marina district. It looked interesting and we decided to give it a try. We ate inside but they have a nice-looking outside dining area too. We had the ribeye steak and the branzino fish, definitely not the cheapest things on the menu, but a safe choice for gluten and lactose intolerant people in an Italian restaurant. They do have gluten free pastas I should add. The food was very good. The service was good and friendly. The restaurant is narrow and there is constant movement from the kitchen to the dining areas, which can be a little distracting. Nonetheless, I recommend you give this place a try. It was an enjoyable dining experience.

Original review: Best Italian food in town. One of the best pasta’s i’ve ever had. Great service and lovely people who speak Italian too.

Edited review: they charged $170 instead of $150 as I have written down on the check. Watch out for writing down TIP on the check!

I had been in San Francisco for a few days and this was my favorite place to eat pizza. In my opinion this is my favorite pizza, it’s just so good. Nice job with the business and keep going. Very very recommended.

I got the coda alla vaccinara (shown in photo) and my lady got the amatriciana, and both were delicious! The coda alla vaccinara had thick noodles you could tell were homemade, with a rich and flavorful marina sauce and wonderfully tender oxtail meat. The bread is also super soft and served with olive oil. The servers pronounce the names of the dishes with beautiful Italian accents! This is the closest I’ve gotten to authentic Italian cuisine!

All their pastas are home made except for the gluten free one. Ordered the oxtail and while the pasta was cooked al dente knocking points down because half of it was gristle (gross). Ordered the Cab, Sempre Vive 2017 bottle, it was underwhelming. I've had dinner at the Larkspur location and this same dish was mouthwatering. Hoping this was a one off and not a common theme.

- Having tried 4 dishes at 4.75 to 5 stars. Of note, prosciutto pizza with burrata and their coda alla vaccinara which you don't see too often.
- Service is rock star, as you see the attentive staff hustle throughout, erstwhile remaining sweet, joyous and attentive.
- Very fun vibe, cool tunes, staff attitude servito da italiani, old timey movies against the back brick wall. A little loud inside, but it fits.
- No rezos taken [yet], but their table turnover [from quick staff and likewise the kitchen] should make up for that.
- And the kicker.we agreed they could easily charge more and still be very worth, so add that to the inventory to this great place.

The vibe and the service of the restaurant are great. However, the food is extremely disappointing. We arrived for a late dinner, ordered the Octopus appetizer, Rib Eye steak and Bronzino. Both three dishes are overtly oily.

The octopus had plenty of arugula on top to balance out the oily-ness, which made it a palatable dish.

The steak and the fish, unfortunately, only had equally oily vegetables on the side to compound the greasy after taste.

The biggest sin of the whole dinner though is that we asked for a medium rare steak.and we got a completely well done rib eye (not even medium). As it was approaching their closing time, we didn’t ask for a re-fire. But it was unfortunate that the rib eye could have been a perfectly fine dish.

Went with a friend who recommended Roma Antica she said they made fresh pasta and I was sold. I had never had fresh pasta before so I was really excited to try it out.

The pasta was DELICIOUS. I finished my plate in the one sitting which is rare for me to do at restaurants because I always seem to either get full or have some stomach issues such as bloating and stomach pain, but not this time. It’s a testament to the quality of the food.

It’s authentic Roman cuisine. I had the pasta with black pepper and I’ve seen chefs make it on tv, but didn’t think I would actually have a chance to try it fresh, it was genuinely one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Come to think of it I probably should have asked to thank and see the chef, next time! Whoever you are I love you! The pasta was divine!

I also ordered the beet salad because I love beets and they were great too. We were also given complimentary bread but we finished it before we could take a picture. They refilled the basket three times but we ate it all (this was for four people) it was that good.

A most inviting atmosphere. It screams welcome or maybe that was the host saying Prego! The food was delicious and I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my time here. If you are in the area I suggest stopping by even if it’s for a glass of vino. Ciao!

What can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said? If you want to taste authentic Italian food like you’ve just been transported into Rome city center then this is the spot. Prices are reasonable for SF. Much of the staff are from different regions of Italy so it makes the experience even more special. Try the polpo appetizer. The pasta is made fresh and al dente. It’s delightful and perfectly cooked with a side of sweet potatoes and arugula.
Thank you Roberto for opening this little gem. I’ll be sure to visit the other restaurants also.

Me and my husband went to this beautiful restaurant for lunch. We were seated in their patio. The patio is lovely, they also give you a cute blanket to keep you warm while you enjoy the food.

Our server Sara was full of vibrant energy, she gave us great vegetarian recommendations.
We ordered Margherita pizza, Cacio E Pepe pasta, Tiramisu and Chocolate Mouse. We Loved all of the dishes. Highly recommend this place for a romantic meal.

After reading many great reviews we were very exited to dine at this restaurant however the food was nothing described like other diners. We ordered a pizza which was very soggy and a pasta dish which was very salty and a kids meal with undercooked pasta. Not sure if it was a off day but overall experiance very disappointing.
