Restaurant Roma Market reviews
21There are way better Italian markets and sandwiches in LA. Maybe this used to be good but grabbing a stale, hard, dry sandwich up out of a box is not it. All hype.
Been going nuts on the sandwiches. So simple but typically nice and tasty. Sometimes the bread is a little hard but but overall it’s a cute little market and you can find a thing or two that will be pleasing for your Italian tastebuds
The store inside gives me mom and pop store Italy vibes but the sandwich is just not it for me. The hype was definitely real but when i arrived, the bread was already cut up dressed with the olive oil and meat sitting on top of it, ready for the customer. Probably the reason the bread was sooo hard! I guess i expected lettuce, tomato, etc. I was wrong only meat, cheese oil and bread.: (
You MUST try the sandwich.
My favorite deli in LA they have all of the Italian deli meat you could want all freshly imported from italy
They have gluten free pasta that actually tastes like pasta and a ton of other things directly from italy
We've been eating Ross's perfect sandwiches for over 40 years. He's a local legend, so knowledgeable, always there to hand you a sample of meat or slice of fruit. His employees are lovely, the deli & produce items - best around. Small slice of history, still lives on. Delizioso!
A great Italian market. Rosario the owner is nice and very helpful. The cashier is also very friendly. Great place to shop.
Love going and getting their sandwich that they sell at the cashier counter. Simple but good! Whenever I am in pasadena I stop by.
A Pasadena staple. Best imported ingredients around, as well as great bread! Ross is always omg to give you a recommendation. I also love the smell in there.takes me back to the Italian deli I'd go to in NJ when I was little.
Really good selection of Italian pantry Staples; I only wish they had more San Marzano tomato options and smaller portions of marinated anchovies.
Finally got to try the famous sandwich and it was fantastic! The bread wasn't hard as I initially thought and the fresh meats/cheeses were in perfect ratio. At only $6 currently it's easily one of the best sandwich deals around. Free parking in lot.
This shop is amazing.so many great products.i liked the sandwiches a lot the first time (gotta get the giardiniera in the jar for it) but, second time around, i found they’re kinda dry and simple.overall, this place is an institution (complete with an older man in the corner sitting in his chair).
I love the family vibe and authentic feel of this place. We stopped in for an Italian sandwich. It was so good! We took it to the park to eat and the bread was crispy and it hit the spot!
Went here before going to the museum and this place was great Rosario was the older gentlemen and spoke to me and my lady like he knew us, the sandwich was great with a bottle of wine
It is a cute small but very convenient market. They have just enough items so you're not overwhelmed by many decisions to make. Stumbled upon it today but I will be visiting it whenever I'm in the area. I have to because my Italian heart wants things that this market has to offer.
This market was so cute and the owner sits outside to greet the customers. One suggestion id make it is to have a sign where customers can buy sandwiches from. We went to the deli first thinking we could get the famous sandwiches there but had to go to the checkout counter.
Great little gem! Stopped by on a whim on our drive to find some capicola, and mortadella for my mom. Perfectly sliced thin and the price was great compared to other Italian deli’s I’ve tried along the way. Also the flavor of the meats is incredible if you’ve never had the real thing from a true Italian store. Try to stop here every time I make the drive now so we can eat and remember the times my Noni and Uncle Jimmy would come to visit and bring us the meats and bread for our Godfather Sandwiches
Started coming here regularly for "The Sandwich, " but now I come in for all sorts of groceries. Good selection, friendly vibe and quick service.
This is an amazing market experience.
You will feel transported to Europe.
Everything from the smell, selection and quality of products, and the owner himself is a magical slice of authenticity in an otherwise plastic and superficial county.
My dad would travel down from San Jose just to have his famous sandwiches as well as Italian goods since the 80’s this is truly a hidden gem as well as one of my favorite places to go visit. The hospitality hasn’t changed through out the years it is still a wonderful experience.
Great prices and very friendly people. Need some advice cooking Italian food Rosario is the person to talk to. This is my favorite Italian Market. Locally owned and operated for many years. This is a hidden gem. You need to try their great value sandwich. Now they offer a vegetable sandwich. A place to need to visit.
