Romano's Macaroni Grill reviews
17Would give zero stars if I could. They let people reserve tables past their closing time on Thanksgiving. Horrible feeling to be hungry for a professional thanksgiving dinner and then turned away due to someone’s incompetence. Do not visit.
The Macaroni Grill made this Thanksgiving for me and my Family. The food was delicious. The Staff were friendly. Only problem was the Bathrooms needed some serious cleaning.
This place seems worn down. Went on a date here yesterday and I immediately got a bad feeling as soon as I saw how empty the parking lot was, since normally most ‘good’ restaurants are fairly busy at dinner time on a weekend. Got inside and it was.awkward. The music was super low and it was soooo empty, maybe two other families max. There is no ‘vibe’ or comfortable date-like setting here. It’s very open creating an empty uncomfortable space and all of the tables reminded me of my lunch room in high school.
Our food came out lightning fast, which was an immediate indicator of how awful the food was gonna be, fresh food should take time. My bf got the fettuccine Alfredo and said it was undercooked and made him feel sick afterwards. I picked the make your own pasta option and it was bland. I could’ve made it at home. Also, now you can’t get the complimentary bread until after you order? I found that to be so ridiculous. To top it all off, our waiter who didn’t even tell us his name, was awful. He talked over us, never made eye contact, didn’t tell us about the different desserts or drinks and would just disappear randomly, and never even refilled our water. Overall, I’d never come back here. I can see this place closing down very soon.
Extremely unprofessional. Went in and was seated by the hostess with my family and waited 20 minutes without any acknowledgement from the server. A couple came in and sat down a few tables away and instantly received bread and drinks. We ended up leaving and will not be returning to this location.
They said they didn't have bread today. To me it seems lt was poorly managed. The food they did serve was ok. I was a little disappointed.
I made a reservation at 8: 30PM on Thanksgiving evening through Open Tables. We arrived at the restaurant 10 mins before 8: 30 to check in. We were greeting by a male host who broke the news that the restaurant closed early at 8PM. Wished we had the chance to experience the food here.
Poor management and communication on their end for not changing their hours online and disabling their times on Open Tables. They could have at least made the effort to call and let us know there was a mistake for allowing their customers to make reservations past 8PM. I’m sure there are other families that walked in disappointed too. Didn’t even offer an accommodation in return and left us disappointed and hungry on Thanksgiving.as we all know most places are closed and we couldn’t even go to the grocery store to buy ingredients to cook at home.
Create your own pasta. Awesome taste. Did not have tiramisu though: (Nice place for team lunch.
Where do I begin. I came here about 5 years ago and hated the food, I thought maybe the food changed since then so I gave it another chance. I chose wrong. The food here was gross. We got about $100 worth of food to go and nothing was good. The fettuccine alfredo was tasteless and drenched in oil. The lamb was grey and flavorless. Even the free bread was bland and boring. Highly disappointed. Please revamp the menu, its simply inedible.
Ordered mushroom Ravioli and really enjoyed them, my friends enjoyed their meals as well. Sadly the beer selection is pretty weak but it wasn't the main intent of my visit so I am not going to take any points off. The restaurant is understaffed but that is also no fault of theirs, most are. The poor servers were running like crazy and did pretty well keeping up. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead though our wait wasn't long at all but considering that the food is really good, it very well may fill up quickly.
Food is mediocre. Service just okay. Not interested. Spaghetti factory and pasta market way better!
They don’t seat you at 9pm when the closing time listed is only at 10pm.
Had this happen more than once.
Update the timing to reflect the correct hours.
Good food and friendly service. I generally get the Penne Rustica. It is really good with several plump shrimp mixed in with the chicken.
If I could give them $6 I would they are on top of their game here always fast always good love them
Very disappointed waiter could have done better.menu had very few choices I won't be coming back here
The braised lamb was amazingly tender with a side of asparagus is a perfect pair and their bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar really top it off
My husband and I went to the Macaroni Grill in milpitas last night. There was only one other couple eating. We were seated towards the front of the restaurant. We waited and waited for a server. No water, no bread, not even eye contact from any of the servers (there were 3). My husband stood up to see what was happening, no one coming over yet. We were leaving the restaurant and I told one of the servers they were terrible servers. She said “ well, you sat yourself! ” My husband said no we did not. But she insisted we did. We went and had a delicious hamburger at In and Out.:)
Well to start I live in Vegas and I have been to the place out there, it is amazing. I was excited to see they had one out here. As soon as we walked in it took about five minutes to get put at a table, (the place was empty). Then once we were sat down, all the floors around us were unswept and disgusting. The chairs had dirty hand prints all over them, at every table. As we were about to be served there was no greeting, there was just a "you ready". So a few red flags already, as our food came out once we ordered, (we ordered a kids meal, fries and chicken. Ranch on the side) little did we know after I tasted the ranch it was rotten. After the little one had already been eating it. That is absolutely nasty. It could have made him sick if he continued to eat it. I would definitely not recommend eating here: (
