Ethiopian Restaurant Rosalind's reviews
18Rosalind's is a great place to dine with a great atmosphere.very welcoming and their food is Superb. We celebrated a friend's retirement party here a few months ago and we shut down a section of the restaurant for 4 hours and everyone had a blast. There sambusas are amazing.
We tried Ethiopian food for the first time. Loved the food, ambience and service. Very homely atmosphere. We tried Yedoro wot and tibs
Great flavor, slow service. Large restaurant. We ordered the vegan platter, with the lamb stew. The flavor of the stew, and quality of the lamb was great. I often find the meat is so fatty, but not here. However, I just think the portions were very small with the veggie dishes. For $20, there’s a lot of competition in little Ethiopia and the portions were the smallest I’ve seen.
Good food and service. We were there on a Monday and it was pretty quiet. Food was tasty and served fresh and hot.
Fantastic! Been eating here for nearly 30 years. The Awaze Tibs are perfectly spiced, the veggie combo is delicious especially the misr wat. And the coffee ceremony is fun and the coffee is amazing.
Tasty vegan dish. Can feed me for two meals. Will come back again to try other dishes. Enjoyed the authentic experience eating with my hand.
Went with a couple friends who wanted to go to Fuegos which has terrible service and food, but we skipped that and went to Rosalind’s. It is so much better in every way. Food, dining room, service, bar, drinks, everything was outstanding. Highly recommend to as one of the best bar and restaurants in Houston.
Food was great. Excellent service from Anna. Vegetarian and non vegetarian options parking is kind of tricky you would have to find parking on the streets, be patient.
I love Ethiopian food and this place did not disappoint. Generous portions for the vegan combo and well seasoned and cooked meat dishes meant that my vegetarian and meat eating friends were both happy.
The food was great and I had no complaints but the restroom could be cleaner and nicer.
This was delicious. Kids first experience with Ethiopian food and they really enjoyed it. The flavors and the presentation were excellent. Would definitely recommend
Just ordered this food via door dash and I will NOT be ordering again. I literally just got a small cold proportioned veggie plate. I wanted to try this out because I’ve had every other place, but this will not be my go to next time I’m very upset because the Sambussa was super thin with barely any lentils in the crust. Literally wasted my 30 dollars won’t be buying again
Baby… this is the spot for Ethiopian food. I don’t know nothing about the other places, I’ve been to a few but this is the one. The food and service is excellent. One of the staff there is like an aunt to everyone, she always asks me how my mother is doing. So very kind and thoughtful service!
Such a great place! Came here for a dinner with colleagues and the owner and his daughter were incredibly welcoming. Food was delicious and enjoyed by all, we had a combination of vegan and meat eaters. Will be back!
We’ve been there pre Covid and it was very good. Really worried this restaurant couldn’t make it during Covid. And we are so glad it’s still open and serves very nice food. They have outdoor seating under patio. The menu is big enough and there are many options, you can choose meat/protein, vegan, sampler plate or signature dishes. The food is incredibly delicious and big. The Ethiopian flat bread is so unique and tasty. We couldn’t stop eating it. We had the appetizer and two main entrees. And it’s absolutely enough for two people. You should try the lamb stew. Perfectly good. The service is flawless. We definitely will visit there again.
I have been eating at Rosalind's for over 30 years. I believe it was since 1989, if my memory serves me well. The quality of the food is consistently high. The flavors are as authentic as I remember them from my childhood. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and courtesy towards customers by the management servers and cooks. This is the place in LA County to eat Ethiopian food. There is no need to eat precooked and frozen food that tastes like chicken jerky. If you are looking to experience authentic, fresh, clean and well prepared Ethiopian Food, go to Rosalind's. I recommend them very highly and you will not be disappointed. Rosalind's, thank you for all the years of amazing Ethiopian Cuisine. Happy Orthodox Easter!
Amazing! I've gone to a few restaurants on fairfax in little Ethiopia and this place is the BEST - customer service wise, food, drink, atmosphere everything is done with the upmost care and it's so god dammmmmm delicious. Exceptional all around. Do happy they are open again!
Best Ethiopian food I've had in LA! I lived in Ethiopia for 6 months, and have tried over a dozen restaurants in the area, and have to say that Rosalind's is truly exceptional. Their veggie and legume dishes are the best, while the tibbs are good, but not as stand out as their other offerings.
