Rose Garden Inn / Hotel Calle Joaquin

The area of the hotel is sketchy and very messy. The rooms were old and not updated. When we checked out we were told our $100 feee for miscellaneous items would be returned within a week. This did not happen. I called multiple times and was treated so rudely. The manger never called me back after many requests. I have been trying to get my refund for 45 days and I still have not received my money back. They have now blocked my phone number! Unbelievable. Stay clear or this hotel. Gross rooms, awful customer service and they will steal your money and refuse to return what is owed to you

Scariest haunted hotel so far!
I’m not sure if this was their intention but this place is haunted! Beeping smoke alarms going on and off all night! No fire extinguisher on site! Scary! Plus it appears abandoned! Free expired birthday cake in the fridge and weird in explained off center desk tops! Amazing 5 stars!

The room was clean and smelled great. The front desk receptionist was very kind and helpful. I would recommend staying here.

Don't be fooled by the pictures, this place is run down and not well taken of. Although I do not do online dating i now know what it means to be catfished. Many of the people who stay here live here, which is fine. But I met 6 residents and counted 10 teeth in total. The pool and hottub is nice

The bathtub is slippery as there is no safety strips in the tub and also no grab bars. I wanted to document this as someone is going to get seriously hurt. I agree that the pictures on the site are misleading. They are remodeling and they do loud work on the place early in the morning and late at night. Their choices in new decor are in my opinion dreadful. The beds are not comfortable. So if you don't need to shower or sleep and you don't mind an unattractive motel this place is for you. Note that the staff were nice and helpful.

I have never had so many issues staying at a hotel and I have never written a bad review in my entire life. To start, the hotel itself is incredibly run down, I had gotten an insane amount of bed big bites the last time I went, I also paid cash so they required a 100$ deposit which I was totally fine with! When I went to check out the girl at the front desk told me I was only getting 50$ back, when I asked why she said it was because I had “gotten makeup on two of the wash cloths” which wasn’t true because I had my towel and one wash cloth, the other one was my boyfriends. Secondly, I don’t wear that much makeup so I can’t even picture there being enough to stain a towel. When I asked to speak to the manager, nobody would call him to let him know. I had called this place back over and over again trying to get ahold of a manager for MONTHS. Still nothing & it’s now 5 months later which is why I’m leaving a review. Not because I care about 50$, because I felt like they were taking advantage of me.

We stayed here and the location is great near Freeway and Taco Temple which by the time we checked in was closed. Bummer. Check in was easy. They accept cash deposit which was better than card. The rooms are ok but they are in the middle of renovations now let's get to the gem of the property the pool area! It's so nice with a waterfall jacuzzi that made up for everything else. Great job! They also have grills and patio tables.

I would AVOID this place at any cost. Doesn’t look anything like pictures.
Too expensive for the low level of quality.

1. Bed heads were ripped but hidden by pillows.
2. There was literally dirt right under the mattress, (moved the mattress to make sure there were no bed bugs).
3. When I showed the pictures to management, they acted like they had never seen those damaged bed heads (probably hoping to get some deposit money).

I asked to get a refund and that we would like to leave, was refused a refund, and was told that the the front desk would contact the owner who will get back to us…never happened.
Ended up sleeping there, cause 310 bucks (including deposit) is not little money. But never ever again…

Room was filthy but no other rooms available in town do to car show and mid state fair WILL NOT STAY AGAIN!

My stay was terrible. First room, it appeared water was flooded all over the floor. I was moved to another room, where there appeared to be a foul chemical smell, (probably from the floors) that lasted all night. Bathroom vent appeared to not work, and bathroom appeared to have mold. I notified the front desk and that i needed to speak the the manager, and it appears that I am unable to speak to one. I booked directly through the hotel and not a travel booking company. It’s been nearly a week and I am still waiting for the manager to call.

Got cheated on with forged signature and expensive prices. Booked for 1 night and got charged for 2 nights plus quadruple.

This is located in the end of the road, so it seemed to be safe. The building seemed to be old and maintaining was going on, so the stairs were pretty dirty and also there were pack of materials. This is pet friendly, so if you have a pet, it's good. But we encountered a dog with leash, barking around and chasing me to the pool. Found out that there was a old man, leaving his dog wandering around: (The pool is nice and big, but it's also pet friendly, and allowed to eat inside, so it's not that clean. The spa was really nice. They have a small fall in the pool. The room was clean, but old. Amenities are good for the price, but cannot say the worker are kind: (

I realize that it is an old establishment but my coffee maker was dirty. There was so much ice in the icebox I couldn't fit anything in it. There were children in the hot tub after 9: 00 pm and there was a diaper incident. The staff was great even though I called them and wasn't happy with a few things they were still very polite. Staff 5 stars

I have never been so disappointed! Not anything like the pictures on line. The facility is under remodel. Did not tell me my room was in process of change. There was new tile around the tub in the bathroom. There was new flooring. They left grout on the outside of the tub and on the bathroom door. There was construction dust everywhere! The counter where the coffee maker and ice bucket sat was sticky probably from previous guest.
There were only two towels in our room. No coffee to brew in the coffee maker. It was just all around poor.
The next morning I requested a price adjustment on the room due to poor conditions. No way were they going to part with my money.
