Roundhouse Aquarium reviews
13 It's a unique approach to build this Roundhouse Aquarium at the heart of Manhattan beach in LA. Every person should visit this place before going to the beach to understand how his/her small effort can save many underwater lives.
The display of many objects with the title of "How LONG does it take your TRASH to BIODEGRADE? " In the staircase really blew my mind!
The entire setup of the aquarium can be a great learning opportunity as an education trip for any school going kids.
Love that it is educational and free, but the fish tanks were so dirty and there was actually a dead fish in one of the tanks! Seems like the staff should be a little more concerned about the welfare of their main attraction…
It's a sweet little free aquarium with beautiful moon jellies, an octopus and all kinds of other sea creatures that impress with their colorful beauty. But the fish told me the tanks are too small. They don't need tall I would assume they would rather appreciate a bit more depth. Maybe the tank could go all around in the roundhouse? But what do I know?
The remodeled aquarium is quite amazing for its size! It’s like a miniature LB Aquarium. There’s an octopus, small sharks, and a bunch of jellyfish. It’s free, but donations are greatly appreciated to maintain this educational spot. The staff and volunteers are super too!
Small but free aquarium with a decent variety of sea life. The large tanks have an assortment of sea bass, moray eels, and various other fish. The open tanks have lemon sharks, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and more!
Nice view! The place is always packed! However it has few fish, but it is worth the visit! The pier you have a very beautiful view!
Small but fun and informative aquarium. It's free but please try to make a small donation to help keep it open. Two story building with different ocean life. I like the jellyfish on the upper floor. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
It's a quite small aquarium but a nice attraction in Manhattan Beach. Wish they were open in the morning or at least earlier than 2pm.
I went here on a class field trip a few years ago, it was terrible because there was only three tanks and i found a shark tooth but they didn’t let me keep it in only upset about the shark tooth the aquarium was meh yeah it was small but jt has a touch pool
Small aquarium but I did spend about an hour here. I like to read all the plaques and seek for the fish in the tanks. They take donations for admission which I highly encourage. When I went they had a marine biologist at the little tidepool display. It was a fun time for me and my partner. We plan to bring our son in the future when he's a little older.
Patrick lives here I swear.
Great small aquarium for kids and adults, staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
It's easy to spend 30-45 minutes here if you ask questions and read about each exhibit. A very fun stop for a short while in the afternoon. It's totally free and usually there isn't a line!
Review for January 30th 2022. The Roundhouse aquarium is located on the Manhattan Beach Pier. Manhattan Beach California. It was a wonderful experience and the weather was perfect for a January month. The aquarium is actually very tiny but you're able to see some of the marine life that are native to the California coastline. For example, California moray eels oh, sea urchins, and Starfish to say the least. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely love the California coastline. I will take any opportunity during the week to escape and visit something new that I haven't seen alongside the California coast lines.
Very neat place. Their docents are knowledgeable and entertaining. There are many levels and things to see, even on the roof! The surrounding park is beautiful. Will definitely go back when we're in the area again
