Rowland Adult and Community Education

Suffered a very rude interaction today from the coordinator Colleen. Kept talking over me and was very disrespectful, wouldn’t hear my concerns or validate them. Terrible customer service from her. Everyone else I spoke to there was lovely.

I've gone to this school four years and it used to be wonderful before new management. There are all young girls same age in office and rather than help me and my classmates they stare at computer and gossip with each other about other staff. We waited for 15 minutes 3 different times in office while they gossip and look at computer and complain and not help us.
Older bald officer is much better than new Mexican lady who is rude, unhelpful. Bring back all types people - young, old, Asian, Men, not just all the same unhelpful girls.
No longer nice place to go school. Terrible.

I try to get help in the office and office girl with glasses tells me not her job. She is just sitting gossiping and looking on the computer. It is her job to help students.that is why she works, not her job to gossip with boss
This use to be very nice school until all new office staff and new woman manager.

Krsten Garcia is my teacher at Rowland adult school and she always keeps in contact with all of her students and ensures that they understand everything. I wish all teachers in America were like her because she has given me so much confidence in speaking with other people. She is always there to help all students. Teacher Kirsten is the best teacher and we are beyond lucky to have her.

This is an amazing adult school that helps people learn English as a Second Language or earn their High School Equivalency. They also have many different community courses, like make-up skills and cookie decorating. So fun!

It’s a awesome place to learning English, although we have been experiencing the pandemic this year, we can continue to learning online, also can get more benefits.
They have many different community courses can choose that what you need.
They have a great ESL program is free to anyone who want to learn English, improve English skills.
I will keep learning at RACE

I have amazing experience at this school. Meeting excellent teachers, improving English, making friends, experiencing wonderful culture and traditions, finding a better myself, I get much more than I expected. This is the best school for an adult to integrate into the society.

I got many benefits from RACE, like I got the US citizenship, and I have bee rising English skills. I have meted many wonderful teachers and good classmates.

R H Adult school is a great school in our community. I have been studied there for many years. My English improved a lot. My teacher Kirsten is the best teacher I have seen. She is very conscientious and patient in her teaching. I am lucky to have such a teacher.

A great place with encouraging staff. A welcoming environment to further the community's education.

This is a wonderful place for children AND adults. I was surprised when I found out how many opportunities they offer the community. Here is a summary of my thoughts on what I know about the multiple departments here:
The recreation department offers a huge/ very popular swim program year round on top of your usual sports, math, English, Robotics, and computer classes. They even offer ice skating classes!
They have a great ESL and citizenship program with multiple levels and people constantly progressing. Not to mention these classes are FREE to anyone that wants to learn English.
They offer High School Equivalency classes to where I've seen so many people happily graduate with their GED or high school diploma.
They also offer a bunch of fun and useful classes like CPR, Notary, Power Point & Excel, Golf, Drawing, Yoga, Dancing, Photography, Cake Decorating, Sewing, and Real Estate classes among so many more.
Finally, they also offer online classes for those of us that prefer that method of learning. They have Dental Assistant, Paralegal, Marketing, Pharmacy Tech, Vet Tech, Optician, Web design courses and seriously so many more.
This review is very long and detailed but I feel like all of this information is useful and important, I have lived in the area all of my life and was shocked to discover that I had such a useful establishment so close to my house. Everyone in our lives (including us) can benefit from these resources.

My mom was there today for the first time, and she was looking for help.
There was a teacher looks like Chinese, Looked at my mom with haughty eyes, did not even say hi.
My mom asked where the office is in Chinese, she did not respond a single word and walked away.

We will never come back again.
