Royal Cuisine Authentic African & American Food reviews
17My first visit, the food was good. The service was African style. The music played by Mr. Q set the party atmosphere.
We where visiting Los Angeles and decided to try all the West African restaurants around.this place is our top pick, customer service friendly, food came out quick and the food was just soo yummy, we had fufu with groundnut soup, pepper soup and orka soup.just amazing. To bad they don't have a store in Portland OR.great job
The fufu was amazing, and the groundnut soup delicious. They clearly use a good amount of plantain in their fufu instead of just cassava, which is how I prefer it. I lived in Ghana from 2010-2012 and this tasted exactly as I remember the dish. I highly recommend trying it - and if you're adventurous, use your right hand (instead of a spoon) to eat the fufu so it's truly authentic! Will definitely be coming here anytime I'm in town.
They close at 7 PM and at 6: 05PM I called to confirm that me arriving at 6: 15PM was okay. He said yes and within 2 seconds he added "6: 15pm is okay but if you get here at that time you have to get it to-go". Very nice service worthy of 1 star.
Just came back from vacation in Ghana and I was glad to find a restaurant that brings me back there!
Chicken was old couldn't eat it.rice was hard! Fufu soup meat was terribly tuff.very disappointed. Waste of money.
First and last time going here especially since I went off of the reviews. The jollof rice was hard and burnt, fish was bland as hell, do better guys!
First time trying Ghanaian food and it’s was freshly made and tasty. The owner was very kind and service was on point.
My first time eating Ghanaian food and I am happy I came to this restaurant. The owner was very nice and recommended to me what I should eat since it was my first time and I didn’t know. I will for sure come back and try other dishes. Thank you so much
Plgreat presentation and the food tasted really good. Restaurant is clean and service is great.
Staff was friendly. Menu is very simple. I ordered Egusi with Fufu, the Egusi was delicious but the beef inside was very tough/maybe old and I could not it.
Place had a mouse right outside the door. And then we picked up the food, and it smelled like it was spoiled.after we went to the car and tried to eat the food, we couldn’t because of the smell. My girlfriend tasted her’s and almost threw up! We tried to get our money back but the manager said since we already opened our food he couldn’t refund us. I would give this place negative stars if I could! DONT GO HERE!
I was traveling through LA and stopped by to pick up some jollof and waakye. I just finished the waakye, and I must say it's the absolute best waakye I've had from restaurants across New Jersey, Dallas, Texas, and New York City. Now I can't wait to be hungry again so I can enjoy the jollof!
The customer service was excellent as well.
Any Venezuelan seeing this, try it. It’s amazing. It’s a bit spicy but you will not care. Yep, it’s that good!
I went there because of the great reviews.
Unfortunately the atmosphere is like a fast food restaurant.
I asked for a recommendation, but unfortunately the taste wasn't mine.
The portion was very large, but unfortunately the rice was cool in places and the salad had no dressing.
The meat, 3 large pieces, was partly so firm that the cutlery couldn't cut it.
I wanted so much that I could be as excited as everyone else.
But I couldn't eat much of it.
Sorry, but 3 stars is the maximum for me. Still, I'll give you 4. Hahaha.
The food was ok, big portions of rice and vegtables, not much on the goat meat I ordered. The service was excellent and staff was very friendly.
