Rubio's Coastal Grill reviews
19Ordered baja burrito disgusting fish was very bad. Beans super dry and quac very watery. Literally throws burrito away. Not worth it. Not going back and especially Not recommending.
Part of my order was missing so I called the store. I was told it would be made and I could come pick it up. When I arrived at the store the manager was in the back taking selfies with the employees. When he finally came to the front I found out they hadn't made the burrito that was missing. He told the cook to make it and I could hear her arguing with him. She showed absolutely no urgency making my food. She also touched her nose and then went back to making food without washing her hands. I pointed this out to the manager and he said something to her. She rolled her eyes at him and continued making the food without washing her hands. She also didn't have a hair net on and had really long red dyed hair.
Very clean, fast service, delicious food. My burrito especial with chicken was perfect, the guacamole was fresh and generous!
I like Rubio's food but the service (I've been ignored, my order messed, dirty tables) at this one has been lack luster to many times to get a 5 star rating
Are you kidding? Almost $5.00 for one taco. Also, no handicap parking spaces at Mission Gorge #42
I am writing this review to applaud DINESTI, the restaurant Manager of the Rubio's Coastal Grill on Mission Gorge [SD 92120]. She was working the Register this evening and this"review" is particularly addressed to commend DINESTI for her customer service skills, genuine and happy smile, as well as her significant attention to detail. Not only did DINESTI take the time to go through each of the options that come with our meals, but identified the differences in the three (3) varieties of shrimp tacos for us to choose. We selected the soft tortilla shells because we did not want them to be grilled with oil; and, we added black beans, rice, cabbage, avocado and mild salsa.
Before concluding the order, DINESTI then inquired if we wanted anything to drink and desert. She exhibited he type of heartfelt attentiveness you might expect at a fine diner, but it was so great to have this service at a local eatery. Take it from me, ask whether she is working before you go there to be able to not only enjoy their outstanding food, but to enjoy the care and appreciation that is exemplified by a truly superb Manager. It is obvious DINESTI truthfully LOVES her work in general, and everyone with whom she comes in contact in particular. Thank you DINESTI for making a huge difference for my wife and I.
Loaded cheese nachos had zero cheese and some guacamole and sour cream. Fish burrito had two half-thumb size pieces of fish and loaded with black beans. No more.
Food is fine but they seriously need to staff the store. Rubio's isn't giving this staff a fighting chance and it's clear they're getting overwhelmed when I come here.
Quick service, laid out for several kinds of food delivery, even eating inside or outside. That chopped chicken salad is terrific!
Went here and ordered shrimp tacos and I accidentally ordered ones with bacon which I don’t eat. Went back in to order the ones I meant to order and the manager remade them for me without an extra charge.
I appreciate them taking care of me. Will definitely return
Food good, restaurant clean, service friendly, but the wait for food was a little longer than I expected. It took about 15 minutes for a California rice bowl (at 12: 30pm on a Tuesday), and other customers seemed to be experiencing about the same wait for their orders. It could be that the kitchen was slower than usual this day, but maybe something to consider if looking for a place to grab lunch when you're in a hurry.
It says online they close at 10, came at 9: 30 and their doors were already locked. Would be nice if they updated their hours of operation.
I used to love this place. But this time at this location I had to ask for white sauce on my fish tacos supreme. Others with me ordered from the new top chef menu. Don't bother.
Just ordered a salmon burrito and the rice was like mashed potatoes, gross consistency, bland, worst burrito I've ever had there, you think they would get a $12 burrito right.
Great Mexican food for a quick lunch. A large amount of fresh grilled fish to perfection stuffed into a corn tortilla. Plenty of tasty salsas to choose from. Craft beers are available.
It's cool and all. IT's a good change of pace from consuming your other option that's loaded with grease. But, you're going to pay to eat cleaner. I like the fact that I dont feel all sluggish and heavy after eating there. Place is always clean, people always friendly. Would give 5 stars, but I spent too much there and couldnt afford it lol.
Overpriced salmon salad with quinoa, 15 bucks for a dried sliver of salmon and way under seasoned. I’m utterly surprised by the low food quality here. No thanks. Lost a customer for sure. As my mom put it the food was ‘horrrrrrraaaableeee! ’
The food was great but it wasn't what I ordered. I had three orders; two were correct but mine was wrong.
Waited over hour for online order tonight. Complete confusion by staff at Rubios. No excuse
