The restaurant is usually open until 9: 00 p.m. I drove all the way here, and it’s closed.

Ruby’s is a local gem. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t tasty and fresh. The margaritas are also top notch. The service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

Really good food, amazing attentiveness of the waiter. She seemed very genuinely concerned on making sure we had a good experience. Mild salsa was good but favorite was black and green salsa was to die for. Really good food seasoning is on point. Really worth a try and definitely recommend this place.

It is close to my home, but after my experience last week, I will no longer be eating there. I ordered the chicken soft taco plate (the same thing I get EVERY time I go there). They made hard tacos. When I told them they were supposed to be soft, the cook asked if I wouldn't just eat the hard tacos. I said no and sat down. The food sat on the counter for a while. He made food for the other two people in the restaurant. After a few minutes, I returned and asked the cashier what was happening. She told me the cook "didn't want to remake the food. " He told me, "It's not my fault. That's what it said on the order. "" I said it wasn't my fault either, and he said, "Well, whose fault is it? "" I said that it didn't matter, that we wanted soft tacos. He continued slamming around the kitchen, and the cashier told me he wouldn't remake the food and that he was having a bad day. Never going there again!

Nice and clean, the girls are very attentive and fast. The owner John a very cool guy. I recommend this place.

Wow this place is expensive. Wow. It is sad to think that it is necessary. I unfortunately won’t come back, the mixed drinks are priced to high…I would think lower drink prices would drive customers in…the food was just OK, but it took forever to come out.

The service was very nice and attentive.

They delivered our food to the table, no silverware nor napkins. Had to ask the waiter three 3x's, and I had to remind the waiter to refill our water glasses three 3times. The restaurant was not busy.

Been here a few times. I find the food to be pretty pricey and I can't say I'm ever excited to eat here. The healthy bowls are nice but pretty small for $15+ definitely not happy about the 10 chips that come with the meal. So few and they are not good. Not a big fan of the salsa either. Just my personal opinion, other may love it. What I do like is their food is not greasy. I have not tried their drinks but they do look really good.

NEEDED: Better Kitchen Practices and Owners That Don't Disrespect Customers

EXPERIENCE: It's a Mexican restaurant, and yes, we went on a Taco-Tuesday evening. Upon arriving, we decided to take our food home instead of sitting down because of the limited table availability - we're out of 8 people/couples who decided to do this. Ordered our food at 7: 13, didn't get out of there until 45 minutes later at 7: 58. A person that arrived 15 minutes after us complained to the owner and got their food 10 minutes before us - completely and blantedly disrespecting the rest of us that had already been waiting longer. Your restaurant been establsihed for over 5 years in Camarillo and you know there's going to be an abundance of people on one of your busiest days of the week, and yet your kitchen can't handle the intake even after being in our small city of Camarillo for so many years? The only reason we visit is because you are less than 2 minutes away from our house.

This was just simply unbelievable and unacceptable bad service from the kitchen staff, leaving their front house staff to deal with the upset customers.

Lost us as a regular customer.

RECOMMENDATION - SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY and go to another Mexican food eatery in Camarillo like Chilli Peppers or even Establos or Bodega - we're they don't waste your time and disrespect you, they have faster service AND the food is tastier!

This place is over priced compared to Agave Maria's. Which I like a lot better. I had to see for myself. But I won't be back.
