This is my third time eating here. The first time I ate here when they first opened was great- the food and service. During my second second visit, the food was still good but our appetizers came with our main entrees and my daughter's entree came 15 minutes after everyone else's food. This most recent time we ate here the food definitely changed. The garlic eggplant tasted horribly different than the two previous visits. It was overly sweet, no taste of garlic, and overall not good. I ate maybe three bites. Our appetizer, vegetable tempura, came out 15 to 20 minutes after we got our entrees. The tempura batter had a sweet taste like funnel cake batter. My daughter got orange chicken which was okay, but everything else we ordered was not good. I will not be back.

Great addition to Redlands! They are amazing at Shanghai bistro and they support other local businesses around them! Including the Redlands nutcracker! Thank you for always serving wonderful meals and for supporting your community Shanghai bistro!

This was my first visit to this restaurant but won’t be my last. We had the orange chicken meal and it was delicious. The service was impeccable and the restaurant was spotless. What a great place to eat!

This place is so awesome! The food was delicious and our server Minu was so friendly and attentive. The honey walnut shrimp and the wontons in red oil (not pictured because we devoured them) are definitely a must try!

My friend and I went here two weeks ago and I've been meaning to write a review it was not only horribly expensive but a very cold and Loud atmosphere the service was terrible honestly and it wasn't really any one specific person's fault. Our waitress came and took our order it was being delivered by an elderly Chinese woman she had the wrong food she turned around and left without really saying anything we told her something was wrong and we never saw her again and then the waitress came back with our food at one point and she brought another wrong meal it was sheer Insanity we didn't know what the heck was going on and to be perfectly Frank the waitress never really came back to check on us we did get the right food eventually and we ordered a vegan chicken honey walnut or something and we ordered a pork noodle dish and there was literally like no pork to speak of and a small amount of noodles and that was like 14 or $15 for that so we were horrified at the pricing horrified at the service horrified at the atmosphere inside but all we could say it was my friend and I we said been there done that never doing it again.

I love this place. The atmosphere, service and food are terrific. It's really nice that there are pictures of the the food on the menu. Really good portions. The new location is really an up grade.

Nice place to eat. Yeah, it's expensive. But we had a large party and ordered plates of things. It all came out tasty, and here and there so that we could enjoy it over the course of an hour. If you like hearty food you'll love this place.

My family had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, especially the tempura green beans and the onion pancake, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We look forward to visiting again

We came in today, 1/3/2024, and absolutely loved our experience. This place is hugely open and clean. The food was delicious. We ordered the cream cheese wontons, sweet and sour pork (so tender), sweet and sour chicken, beef chow mein and braised beef soup. All of it was delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food received. There was a live guitarist playing tonight. Very well.

We will definitely be coming back.

The Basil Chicken was delicious. I also tried the wasabi fungus and jellyfish - both very good.

I had such high hopes for this spot. Alas, all we recieved was greasy, soggy food covered in uncooked garlic.

The atmosphere is noisy and a bit chaotic. The cloth seats felt flimsy, and were covered in crusty stains. The table was generally clean.

The service started off excellent. Quick to be seen once seated and we received our beverages promptly. After that, it was exceptionally confusing, as we placed an order for appetizers that all came well after our entrees. We also had to ask for the white rice that was a part of two of our dishes multiple times before receiving it.

As for the food, as mentioned before it all was covered in grease, to the point of being soggy from grease. The tempura green beans “coating” just slid off. The noodles sat in a pool of grease.

The cucumber salad tasted like it was covered in soy sauce, and was quite bitter. The orange chicken was soft and chewy, with no crunchy and absolutely drenched in sauce - contributing to the sogginess. The Chinese broccoli had what tasted like pre-chopped garlic stored in citric acid and then uncooked ladled on the dishes.

All in all, way overpriced for the food and atmospheres. While I’m hopeful it was just an off day for them, I’ll be hard-pressed to go back.

It was so wonderful that this business was open tonight on Christmas Day. Jesse and the team took care of our table of ten with great service. They even made dishes gluten free for my daughter who is a Celiac.

There are lots of authentic Chinese dishes here, which is quite a surprise for us when we were on a road trip passing this small town.
