Awesome place to visit. Incredible views, nice tracks for walking or running. It does require a bit of physical strength as you walk uphill quite a lot but it is definitely worth it. This is one of the spots where you can see the Hollywood sign from. The time you need for the visit varies depending on your aim. If you want to see the Hollywood sign that's about 40 mins at least. If you want to go for a walk a see both sides of this canyon, that's easily a few hours. Don't forget about the sun. It does get hot.

Moving through challenges, one foot in front of the other, focused attention of staying in the present, arriving with grace, the.leaving with the victories of achievement.

In my opinion, Runyon has the best LA views. If you’re not up for the hike, I recommend you park and start on the north end. You save yourself a large part of the hike

Absolutely beautifully gorgeous. So peaceful, and so serine. Full of tranquility, fun with breathtaking views overlooking fabulous estates, and the city of LA. Great place to hike with with your fur babies, friends, and/or the family while getting in an awesome workout in at the same time. Had the pleasure in visiting for the first time with my Mayweather Boxing and Fitness family. Definitely love everything about this place.

Came here for a nice hike while visiting Los Angeles and wanted nice views of the city. Parking was a challenge as there's very limited street parking near the Mulholland Drive entrance, but it's possible I didn't know the best places to park.

The hike and views were amazing. Luckily, there wasn't too much smog and could see the city, the Griffith, the Hollywood sign, etc. The trails were nice and wide and people were generally friendly. There's several different paths you can take with some being paved and other dirt & gravel. Regardless of chose paths, each had nice views of the different landmarks. There were many places if you wanted to rest or just take pictures. Very nice relaxing way to view the city and get a nice hike in.

Easy hike with a decent incline. As a tourist the only hurdle is the heat:) so as long as you have water you're good. Amazing views of Los Angeles.

What a great view of the city! There’s an area for your doggo that you’re allowed to have your dog off leash. There were so many fit people here and has some great inclines too hike on

I love this hike as it's so iconic to LA! There's a short loop that could take about 45 mins steady pace, or a longer route that goes a bit higher and deeper into the hills, rounding about to maybe 1.5 hours. Today was gorgeous after the little rain, cleared out some of the smog and gave a full view of the city. Definitely a place to stop at that satisfies the active tourist. I've come quite a few times, and it can definitely get a little crowded. Weekday morning was perfect. Fits into the LA scene. Also very dog friendly! All is a slight-hill street parking, so you may even have a warm up walk before actually hitting the trailhead. There's also usually a small local vendor at the entrance in case you need a snack or beverage. Enjoy!

Great hike with multiple trails to explore and the city views are beautiful, especially when its a clear day. Dog friendly. Parking can be a little tricky though. Found parking just a few blocks away.

Loved the ambiance and people watching at this park. You can make it an easy stroll or enjoy a good workout up a smaller trail. Parking can be hard to find but it is worth the hassle for the view of LA!

Runyan is one of my favorite places to go hike. It gets ungodly hot in the afternoon which is why most people go in the morning or evening. 3 different difficulty of hikes here. Paved path, dirt hike to the right that is pretty good and the dirt hike to the left that is for advanced ONLY

If you haven't heard of Runyon Canyon then you either never hike or just got to LA. I hadn't been in a long time vmbut was just chatting about Runyon with a friend and felt inspired to go back. It is a good, medium length hike from the base to the highest elevation you can reach. I took a few extra paths and went for about 7 miles.

If you are not a fan of off leash dogs, then this isn't a great option. Even though signs instruct folks to keep the dogs on a leash, the locals treat it like a giant dog park. Also, it is a popular hike since its easy to get to from all of Hollywood so it gets pretty busy.

So I went on the west trail I believe and let me just say if you're not moderately athletic don't take it. That is if you wanna reach the tip top because there are a few decently steep parts especially the very last incline before reaching the top its tuff, but if you believe you can achieve. The reward of seeing the amazing view at the top is worth it. FYI I did not get out of breath my sister and cousin on the other hand where huffing and puffing: D
