Rusty's Pizza Parlor reviews
18Best pizza in town friendly staff every time I drive by Carpintería stop for good pizza and chicken wings at this location
Took five college students there and it was perfect because we had a huge table to sit around in the back where we could talk and all three of the large pizzas were just what we wanted. Everyone was filled up and that's not bad for $100.
I have been going to Rusty's for a long time. I just purchased a peperoni pizza from the Carpinteria store. It was very pathetic. Very little cheese, very dry, and not warm when I picked it up. Very dissapointing. I will be going to Pizza Man Dan from now on. This place has really gone down hill.
Pretty much the only place to eat in town after 8. Pizza was ok. Salad bar was there, but was told it was closed. Looked full and open to me. I would recommend take out, instead of indoor. The atmosphere was not welcoming
The pizza, whether dine in or delivery, is always good. They do not skimp on ingredients. The salad bar is ok and served our needs. This is my favorite pizza in the area.
A good, very thin-crust pie. Their basic salad bar cleared too early.
Family or group vibe with large tables and video games.
The only restaurant open past 10p in Carpinteria.
We are in town to celebrate a birthday for our cousin and felt like pizza so we tried Rustys.
We ordered a bar b que chicken pizza and a large salad.
The salad bar had freesh items but the ranch dressing was watered down. We liked the crust on our pizza but the bar b que sauce tasted more like catsup. There was also very little chicken on our pizza.
Their other pizzas may be good but I would steer clear of the bar b que chicken pizza.
Horrible experience ordered delivery at 655pm called at 745 to check on delivery when i was told someone would be there shortly then called at 838pm still no delivery. They said driver went back to store unbelievably when we have 3 kids under 9yrs old waiting for dinner. Will never order from this place.
We took a veg garden pizza thin crust - we like it. The pizzeria has nice in store dining options and onsite parking. Did not experience anything else like salad bar etc but seemed very good in choice of offerings. They are open in 12am which is a big plus for anyone in town very late.
Worth customers service charged my card and didn’t deliver my order, then they hong up on me twice when I asked for my refund and said call tomorrow.
Great tasting pizza and friendly people with quick service. Their prices are reasonable and worth it. Good place to eat in Carpinteria.
The family and I tried Rusty’s just last night and while the pizza was “passable” the wings were not. First, the pizza was similar to what you would find at a Chucky Cheese or Peter Piper Pizza for those familiar. Not terrible but not the best.
The chicken wings were awfully bad. Almost every piece was loaded with fatty tissue. I don’t mind skin on bone-in buffalo wings, but when every bite is fat instead of meat it just gets gross. I think 1 out of 8 wings we’re what I would call “normal”.
Visiting the town my brother has retired to. Quite lovely beach community. Reminds me of Santa Monica when I was a kid. Pizza was decent: crisp dough, nice toppings with a decent cheese. Will go back next visit.
My buddy and I were really hungry and thought some wings would do it so we ordered the 20 piece. The wings were good in my opinion but we have been spoiled by Ameci’s in Oxnard and they have excellent wings. The price was reasonable for 20 pieces though. Haven’t tried their pizza so I can’t comment on that.
This spot constantly delivers. They serve fresh dishes for reasonable pricing, there is no waiting time even when the spot is loaded.
Very popular local restaurant. The restaurant is run well and the staff are very professional. If a big sports event is on the wait time is longer. Normally a pizza is ready in 15 minutes. They have beer and wine. They will deliver locally in the Carpinteria location.
Tried Anchovies for the first time, interesting and delicious in small doses. Rusty's special was great as a thin crust with peppers
