Ruth's Chris Steak House reviews
16We celebrated our Anniversary here and we had a great time. The food was amazing, from our appetizer to our main course and the service was outstanding. We had wonderful evening.
Absolutely Amazing The food EXcellent.
You'll Not find better service Anywhere31&21 Anniversary&58th Birthday, They never disapoint.
We did not have a reservation and walked in. The hostess told us there were no open tables so they sat us in the bar.
Funny thing is half the tables were open when we arrived there and when we left.
Other than that, the service and food was great!
We moved to Arizona and came back to Sacramento to visit family. We actually ate at Ruth Chris twice in one week. So very good. The food, service and atmosphere was incredible. Had a great time. The wait staff made our experience great as well as the food. I had the stuffed chicken. Oh my God…incredible!
Cannot say enough positive things about this Ruth Chris! Look forward to coming back in December!
Appreciated the manager table talking and asking all quest’s about their experience.
100 percent happy with our experience!
Wow. We had our socks knocked off with this place. Outstanding everything from the get go. We can't wait to return. Outstanding service. Attentive and just the right balance. Food was seriously delicious
The food and drinks were delicious, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere is perfect to relax and chat while eating.
We went here for our anniversary dinner @7: 45pm. We arrived we were greeted by 2 people they were helpful and nice. Helped us to our table it was pretty busy. It was a Friday night.
We were seated and a server came there name was Elliott they were Nice, Very professional and informative of the menu and took our drink orders. We ordered drinks blueberry mojito and pomegranate martini they asked for our ID I forgot mine in the car so I had to make it non-alcoholic drink it was very sweet I did not finish it. We ordered an appetizer barbecue shrimp it was very delicious. We also ordered steak and shrimp side of mashed potatoes and a side of creamy spinach. We also ordered Caesar salad and they split it for two people. It was yummy as well. They give you complimentary bread and butter it was delicious as well. Our food took a while to come out. We ate enjoyed our time then it was dessert We took it to go but it took a while to come out as well. It was a pretty busy Friday night. It was full. The manager greeted us asked us if our food was good and if we needed anything that was nice.
It was so much more than a wonderful evening. When I was out celebrating a very special day, it was made into something very magical. It was a wishfully amazing time I'll never forget. Ruth's Chris went over and beyond the norm of excellence to make my guest, and I feel overly welcomed. It is definitely our favorite dining experience, hands down! We wholeheartedly appreciated the exceptional service! ;)
Service for a large group was terrible and borderline rude. Not all of the staff, but definitely a few. Food was good though, just don't recommend for anything over 10 people.
The ambiance, food, and service were fabulous! Had the Ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, and a glass of house chardonnay - everything was so tasty!
Everything was so wonderful. The wait staff and servers were exceptional. We were celebrating my birthday and they even decorated our table. It was so nice. Thank you so much. You all made my birthday so special. Kathy & Dale Bordenkircher
Purchased a gift card for my parents and they tried using it on three separate visits. Management declined the e-gift card on all three occasions without any explanation. Staff was rude and condescending. I do not recommend ever buying a gift card from this establishment.
Takeout pickup order. Order was missing Steak House Salad. Called Ruth’s Chris to report, automatically goes to a message & voicemail mailbox is full. Convenient way of not having to take responsibility of their errors. A steak house salad costs $15.00

Went here for my birthday. The wait staff was amazing. They explained things when we asked and offered suggestions. Food was incredible. Definitely pricey but worth it IMO. The lobster mac and cheese was HUGE. My steak was cooked perfectly. I got a free bread pudding for my birthday.
TO CORPORATE: Sorry but they don’t accept cards that don’t have a chip. In my opinion, it is complete BS. The server actually said that if one only has a card that doesn’t have a chip, they would ACTUALLY send someone to the bank while the other person waited at the restaurant. Why is it the customers responsibility if the restaurant doesn’t have a good POS system that doesn’t even have manual entry of a card. No swipe. Only chip. I was traveling for work and gave my company card which doesn’t have chip and they wouldn’t accept so it was really off putting.
Service: service was amazing! My server, Chris, was amazing! Impeccable service.
The food: lobster Mac & cheese - the lobster is way over cooked. Lobster is almost rubbery. Also the cheese is almost bland. Nice crispy top though.
Steak: I am not a foodie but I love a good steak and have had many good steaks from nice steakhouses before. I first got the ribeye cooked medium and I actually sent it back (which I have never done) it lacked flavor but mostly, it wasn’t really marbled. Not the melt in your mouth texture you would expect of a $70ish steak. So I couldn’t justify spending that much on a steak I didn’t absolutely love. My boyfriend had gotten the t-bone cooked medium rare and I tasted it and loved it so I got that instead. So the t-bone was redeeming.
Good drinks and selection of wine.
All in all, I really prefer STK which has the same dishes mentioned. And a very similar price point.
This was my first experience of dining at Ruth's Chris Steak House. I had the special meal with shrimp and steak, salad, garlic mashed potatoes, and bread pudding. The food was divine!
Our servers were attentive, helpful, and non-intrusive. They filled up water glasses, took our order, and brought our courses without causing an interruption to our conversation.
The atmosphere was intimate. Even though it was a large room, the dim lighting and the soft music of Billie Holiday or Louis Armstrong set a tone of intimacy.
This was a great choice to celebrate the birthday of a good friend!
