Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza

I have been going to this truck stop occasionally for years. The only time I've ever seen the restroom clean was in 2020 during the height of pandemic. Otherwise they are always very dirty, including this most recent visit

As for their customer service, in the late 2000s I remember it being very good then later that in the 2010s it turn to adequate and uneventful.

Now in 2021 what finally prompted me to write this review were two guys on the graveyard shift, one being an older bald man by the name of Kevin who was very rude and robotic and not personable at all.

After my bad experience I asked his co-worker with long hair (I did not see his name tag.) what was Kevin's problem and he became defensive about him and defended his behavior instead of apologizing for him.

When I returned my vehicle I realized that I forgot to buy drinking water for my trip. I was so upset by the way I was treated that I decided not to go back to buy this necessary travel item

Next time I will think twice about stopping here and I definitely won't go during their graveyard shifts anymore. If I do go I also can never expect to use the restroom which defeats the purpose of even going to a travel plaza besides fueling and buying snacks

Disgrace to call this a pilot, bathrooms are disgusting and clogged, resturant attached is overpriced and mediocre although they have unique local brew sodas

They won't allow a disabled driver to have needed help from wife to shower. He has had 2 joints replaced. So you can pay to park, buy gas and shop store but if you physically need help to shower it's not allowed. Yes proof was going to be provided. Worst attitude from employees.

Terrible place. They take adavantge of truck drivers because they’re one of the only stops around. Extremely overpriced and disgusting! Bathrooms, showers, parking lot DISGUSTING. Everything is extremely over priced even for California standards. Whoever owns this place should be extremely ashamed of yourselves. $15 for a shower, $15 a night to park. Pathetic!

I can't believe they are selling food this Bad.stay away from the Dinner, a grease infested meal for all of us.

Please fix the gas pumps so people can't sit there and cause trouble steamrolling over others. Its not worth saving money any longer. Not safe.

We stop here every time going the Bay Area and back. Only problem coffee is water down, they should order local coffee company like Nightwing Express Coffee Beans Co. In Oroville made fresh they could deliver to them.

Do not get trailer wash out from this place. I paid $47 for it and my trailer still dirty. They literally just sprayed water on the floor. No soap or any chemicals Didn't even bother removing the small wood chips on the floor, the blood stain still in there and the floor is still muddy. Its not worth it paying $47 where you can get a better result with a broom.

If I could give less than a star I would. The coffee dispensers were caked with old dried coffee, the creamers had a half inch of solidified cream hanging out of the spouts, and the counter looked like it hadn't been touched with a rag in days! Meanwhile, both employees are sitting behind the counter, giving heavy sighs when approached by customers. Most disgusting travel stop I have ever visited. The saddest part is truck drivers rely on these places to live. The management should be ashamed of themselves. Smfh.

This place should be called 49 ERROR! Prices are way to high! Parking is free only for 4 hours. After that you have to pay 15-20 dollars or fuel up 75 gallons or more and bring the ticket and fuel receipt to them other way they want let you go even if you are blocking the exit and believe me you are blocking, because nobody inform you
So you have to bring the ticket to cashier before you leave

Too bad there isn't a negative rating available. Although the food here is good, the men's room was disgusting and after spending nearly $75.00 on cafe, store, and gas, I was told I would have to pay to park because my sprinter van was a for hire cargo vehicle. These money grabbing dirtbags will never get another cent from me. I sincerely hope they are bankrupted soon. Walmart is only one exit west over the bridge.

Horrible job and you literally sit in line for over an hour every single time. When I get my trucks washed I tip the workers. But I most Definitely will never tip here

The owner seems to have forgotten what service means to a driver.

Your better off taking the extra time to go north or south and just dealing with the inconvenience of distance.

Cafeteria food. Paid parking without an attendant, and extremely small toilets.

Professional drivers, please listen to these reviews. Do not make the mistake I made and stop here.if you have the hours continue on! It is over priced, the exit gate is always broken and having issues causing crazy back logs of drivers trying to exit. The staff are incredibly rude and I'll tolerate a lot of terrible customer service before I speak up. I have been forced to stop here twice and immediately regret it. You will spend half your pay cheque paying for 15$ a day parking and if you need to buy anything instore kiss your cash goodbye. Don't even try the resturant, you'll never leave the washroom. The food is an absolute nightmare. Maybe the burrito if your starving other then that walk to the Black Bear. The showers are clean but bring an extra towel, you'll need it. The man who patrols the yard is very angery, yells first before he even knows what's going on. Then there was a Fight in the main entrance, staff make it a bigger deal then it has to be. Manager stands behind cash keeping the issue going. Unprofessional. They do have a dog wash out back for your pet if you can hold your breath long enough to use it as the dumpsters are very close by. This place is a dive and will break your spirit while it breaks your bank. Please stay clear

Well we park here because we are truckers and theres lots of places to take our dogs to walk around and sand cove isnt to far. They even have a dog wash station which is nice. But recently they updated there showers policy. I always get one shower I always shower with my husband for safety reasons and its just faster and we use less water. But here they wouldn't let me shower with him at all. Only 1 person per shower. Which we took it anyways even though we thought it was weird. There reasoning was. (We dont know what you guys are doing in there) like um none of your business why does that matter anyways. My husband took his shower and waited outside my shower for me. I was in there probably for 30 min and the employee knocked on the door in a way of hurry up. Like I usually leave the door open when Im done. So on top of the weirdness I was rushed. And they only give you one towel and will not give you another one. I suggest not taking a shower here at all go somewhere else.
